The Washington Nationals are the 2014 NL East Champions! The Nats beat the Atlanta Braves 3-0 in Turner Field tonight with Tanner Roark throwing seven scoreless and Ian Desmond providing the offense in the clincher. 2014 NL East Champs!!! 

Washington Nationals' right-hander Stephen Strasburg threw seven scoreless innings on the mound in the series opener in Turner Field and the Nats survived a late scare for a 4-2 win over the Atlanta Braves.

The Washington Nationals and New York Mets battled it out through six scoreless innings before Nats' catcher Wilson Ramos connected for a two-run home run in what ended up a 3-0 win in the series finale in Citi Field. 

The Washington Nationals dropped their first game to the New York Mets in Citi Field this season, 4-3 in the second game of four in the Mets' home. Gio Gonzalez wasn't at his best. Anthony Rendon was, but it wasn't enough.

The Washington Nationals improved to 7-0 in Citi Field this season with their 6-2 win over the New York Mets tonight. Adam LaRoche led the way. Bartolo Colon went out like a punk with a HBP. 

The Washington Nationals couldn't complete the three-game sweep of the Atlanta Braves but they did manage to take two of three from the NL East rivals in the series in Nationals Park. 6-2 Braves today. 

The Washington Nationals scored four runs in the first inning tonight in Nats Park and added two more in a 6-4 win over the Atlanta Braves that gave them a 9.0-game lead in the NL East. Jordan Zimmermann got the win.

Washington Nationals right-hander Doug Fister threw seven scoreless against the Atlanta Braves and the bullpen gave up one but held on for a 2-1 win in the series opener in Nationals Park. 

The Washington Nationals avoided the three-game sweep in the nation's capital with a 3-2 win over the visiting Philadelphia Phillies today in Nationals Park. Adam LaRoche homered twice. Gio Gonzalez was solid. Drew Storen got the save. 

After a dispiriting loss to the Philadelphia Phillies last night, the Washington Nationals lost 3-1 this afternoon, dropping their fifth straight to the Phillies and losing the season series in the process. 

The Washington Nationals took a 7-4 lead into the ninth inning in Nats Park, but Rafael Soriano gave up two home runs and allowed the Philadelphia Phillies to tie it and the Phillies eventually won it in 11 innings, 9-8 final. 

The Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers kept blowing leads and mounting comebacks, but after five hours and thirty-four minutes in Dodger Stadium, the Nats finally prevailed. Nationals win!!

In his 297th career start, Seattle Mariners' right-hander Felix Hernandez gave up four home runs for the first time as the Washington Nationals knocked the Mariners' ace around and won the series opener in Safeco Field, 8-3.

The Washington Nationals rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie it up at 3-3 on Asdrubal Cabrera's eighth inning home run, but the Philadelphia Phillies scored a run in the bottom of the inning and won the second straight in Citizens Bank Park, 4-3. 

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander A.J. Burnett struck out 12 batters and closer Jonathan Papelbon held on for a 3-2 win over the Washington Nationals in the series opener in Citizens Bank Park. 

Washington Nationals' right-hander Stephen Strasburg was out early in the finale in Nationals Park, but the Nats rallied for a 14-6 win over the San Francisco Giants and took 2 of 3 in the weekend series in D.C.
