    The first two periods were dominated by great saves form Jake Allen of the Blues and Semyon Varlamov of the Avalanche. There would be no scoring until the third period when Vladimir Tarasenko and Zach Sanford of the Blues scored within fifty seven seconds of each other to give the Blues a 2-0 lead. Jaden Schwartz would add a late empty net goal to give the Blues a 3-0 win and their ninth win in a row.

  • The Blues defensemen play strong and add offense in a 4-0 shutout over the Coyotes

The Blues were lead in scoring by Alex Pietrangelo and Ivan Barbashev who notched two goals each in the win. The win extends the Blues winning streak to seven games.

Each month they will be digging deep in to the hot topics circulating around the National Hockey League. In this episode they discuss the Maple Leafs acquiring Jake Muzzin from the Los Angeles Kings and whether or not the Leafs will be able to add any other pieces to their team before the trade deadline. Then they get in depth with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, and St. Louis Blues. What will the Oilers do? Can they make the playoffs or will they be looking from the outside in. The Flames have a talented team, but what are they looking at doing before the trade deadline. The Blues are one of the hottest teams in the NHL. Is it do to the emergence of their young goalie Jordan Binnington or is there more to their recent success. Is Jake Allen a viable option in goal for the Blues or will they be looking to trade him anytime soon. Will the Blue Jackets move Artemi Panarin or Sergei Bobrovsky

  • The Blues get their 6th win in a row and second in a row against the Predators with a 5-4 win in Nashville.

    The Blues and Predators could not muster any offense in the first period, but the second period would be a different story. The Blues would get goals from Vladimir Tarasenko, Alex Pietrangelo, and Tyler Bozak in the second period. While Nashville would get one goal by Viktor Arvidsson in the second. The Blues looked like they would run away with this game, but Nashville came alive in the third with four goals to take a one goal lead at four to three. Vladimir Tarasenko would tie the game at four with his second goal of the game. Tarasenko would get the game winner just 16 seconds in to the overtime period for his third goal of the game and huge road win for the Blues.

  • The Blues Beat The Predators 3-2 in their first home game since January, 19th.

    This game started out very physical in the first period. Blues winger Pat Maroon dropped the gloves against Nashville forward Cody McLeod just two minutes and three seconds in to the first period. The Blues would get two goals in this period. One by the young Defensemen Vince Dunn and one by assistamt captain Vladimir Tarasenko. The Predators came in to this game with the worst power play in the league, but got a power play goal in the second period from Mattias Ekholm to make it a two to one game going in to the third period. The Predators came alive in the third. However, they were only able to score one goal when they pulled their goaltender Pekka Rinne with just a few minutes left in the game.

  • The Blues beat the Lightning 1-0 in overtime after regulation was dominated by goalies Binnington and Vasilevskiy

    The Blues played their best game of the year on Thursday against the best team in the league the Tampa Bay Lightning. From the drop of the puck until the 3rd period buzzer the Blues pressured the Tampa defense and goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy. Blues winger Brayden Schenn had several opportunies to put the Blues on the scoreboard in regulaion, but could not solve the puzzle that was Andrei Vasilevskiy. It would take until the overtime period when Schenn would get the only goal of the game and a huge win for the Blues. The Blues have now one four games in a row for the first time this season.

  • The Blues fail behind 2-1 in Florida, but rally in the third for a 3-2 win.

    The Blues are in a heated race with seven other tems in the western conference for the eight and final playoff spot and must win every game they can to reach their goal. They gave up two power play goals to the Panthers before getting three goals in the third period to get out of the Miami area with a much needed two points.

    The Blues were coasting along with a 2-0 lead in the first when the Kings got a late goal to get out of the first period down by just one goal. The kings would continue their come back in the second period with two more goals to take a 3-2 lead out of the period. Ryan O'Reilly of the Blues tied it early in the third, but Paul LaDue would get the game winning goal at around the midway point of the period to give the Kings the 4-3 come back win.

  • The Blues show the Senators no diplomacy in a 3-2 win.

    The Blues went up 2-1 in the second period on a goal by defensmen Vince Dunn. The Senators would get a short handed goal early in the third period by former Blue Magnus Paajarvi to tie it up at 2-2. Carl Gunnarsson would break the tie and score the game winning goal in the third period. Jordan Bennington would stop 28 of 30 shots by the Senators in the win at home.

  • The Blues fall apart in the third period and fall to the Bruins 5-2

    The Bruins controlled the first period while testing Blues goaltender Jake Allen. Allen had to make several key saves to keep the Bruins off of the scoreboard in the first period. The Blues would take a 2-1 lead in the second on a goal by Carl Gunnarsson, but fomer Blues captain  David Backes would deflect a shot past Jake Allen for a 2-2 tie headed out of the second period. The Bruins took control in the third with 3 goals to get a home win 5-2.

  • The Blues battle back in Brooklyn, but fall to the Islanders 2-1 in overtime.

    The Blues and Islanders ran in to two very hot goalies in Jordan Bennington for the Blues and Robin Lehner for the Islanders. They both deserved the win, but Valtteri Filppula scored a goal in overtime as the Blues were trying to make a line change and the Islanders pull out a 2-1 victory at home.
