Sinopse
A community of faith, love, and hope. Mosaic Lincoln is a community characterized by both a deep faith in Jesus Christ and a great love for the city of Lincoln and its people. It is at the intersection of these two great loves that our community walks and it is the combination of the two that has led us to start this new church.

REVELATION (WK 7): "The Kingdom Comes"
08/03/2017 Duração: 46minWhat was the message that Jesus came to share with the world? What was it that Jesus seemed to always be talking about? What was the gospel he preached, embodied and then sent his disciples out to proclaim? Many seem to believe Jesus' message was primarily about information on how to go to heaven after you die. A read through the gospels and the book of Acts, however, reveals something far more beautiful and expansive than that. Special thanks to John Ortberg, Dave Johnson, Eugene Peterson, Barbara R. Rossing, Brian Zahnd, NT Wright, Greg Boyd, Michael J. Gorman, Larry Helyer, Ed Cyzewski and Vernard Eller for their contributions to this series. REVELATION (WK 6): "The Violent Jesus?"
02/03/2017 Duração: 34minA rather prominent Christian pastor was quoted in a popular magazine as saying this about the Jesus we find in Revelation: “In Revelation, Jesus is a pride-fighter with a tattoo down His leg, a sword in His hand and a commitment to make someone bleed. This is a guy I can worship. I cannot worship the hippy, diaper, halo Christ, because I cannot worship a guy I can beat up.” Sadly, his thoughts about the Jesus of Revelation are not entirely unique. Some have used the book of Revelation to depict a violent God, who supports violent acts and who ultimately brings the world to a violent end. When we dig in and read John's Revelation responsibly, however, we find something altogether different. Special thanks to Dave Johnson, Eugene Peterson, Barbara R. Rossing, Brian Zahnd, NT Wright, Greg Boyd, Michael J. Gorman, Larry Helyer, Ed Cyzewski and Vernard Eller for their contributions to this series. REVELATION (WK 5): "Rapture In Reverse"
24/02/2017 Duração: 39minFast forward to the end of the world as we know it. What does it look like? What happens to us? Where do believers go? What is to become of the earth? Rapture theology would have you believe that Christians are sucked up into the air and go to be with God somewhere else, while creation and those who are left endure several years of suffering before everything left is annihilated. Scholars point out that this kind of thinking is so prevalent in culture that most Christians assume it must be true. But is it? Is this even a biblical idea? Let's talk about it. Special thanks to Dave Johnson, Eugene Peterson, Barbara R. Rossing, Briaz Zahnd, NT Wright, Greg Boyd, Michael J. Gorman, Larry Helyer, Ed Cyzewski and Vernard Eller for their contributions to this series. For more about Mosaic, visit us at www.mosaiclincoln.org.

REVELATION (WK 1): "Apocalyptic Fever"
18/01/2017 Duração: 41minEvery couple of decades or so it seems there is a disease that the American Church gets afflicted with. Some have called it "Apocalyptic Fever." Books, films and conferences pop up around the country giving rise to wild speculations and predictions about the end of the world, which most seem sure will happen soon. The one and only thing they all seem to have in common is each cites the book of Revelation as their source. How are we to understand these things as Christians? Did Jesus have anything to say on the matter? If so, how would he have us respond? Special thanks to Dave Johnson, Eugene Peterson, Barbara R. Rossing, Briaz Zahnd, NT Wright, Greg Boyd, Michael J. Gorman, Larry Helyer, Ed Cyzewski and Vernard Eller for their contributions to this series. For more about Mosaic, visit us at www.mosaiclincoln.org.

7 HEBREW WORDS (WK 2): "Todah"
02/12/2016 Duração: 31min"Ungrateful." It's one of the ugliest words in the English dictionary. No one likes an ungrateful person. No one strives to become an ungrateful person. And so strangely enough, no one thinks they are one. That's because ungratefulness is impossible to see in the mirror. Yet the bible suggests entitlement and ungratefulness is precisely where the human heart drifts. When it does, it destroys our capacity to experience wonder and amazement and joy. The solution? Becoming people who embody a spirit of "Todah." To learn more about Mosaic, visit us at www.mosaiclincoln.org.

God's Slipped Disc
28/10/2016 Duração: 44minIn the fourth and final message in our "I Love My Church" teaching series we look at one of the New Testament's most popular metaphors for the movement of Jesus: "the body of Christ." As we will see, engagement in the body is essential both for us and for the world. It's part of the design. It's part of the fabric of redemption. Everyone has a part to play and every part is important. If the church is to be what it was created to be and do what it was created to do, it takes all of us. Special thanks to Eugene Peterson, Andy Stanley, Greg Boyd, John Ortberg and all others who contributed to this series. For more about Mosaic, visit us at mosaiclincoln.org

A Bold Church
20/10/2016 Duração: 44minWe live in one of the safest countries in the world. A number of us live in some of the safest neighborhoods and cities in one of the safest countries in the world...and we are still scared. Since birth we have been conditioned to be careful - "wear a helmet," "look both ways," "stranger danger," "double check the candy." Sadly, this mentality has found its way into our faith and into our churches. This was not always the case. Where did we go wrong? What are we missing? How can we recapture the heart of the early church? Special thanks to Andy Stanley for his substantial contribution to this message. For more about Mosaic, visit us at mosaiclincoln.org.
