19/06/2015 Duração: 57minWhat an incredible interview today! Getting to chat with radio host, publicist and promoter, TV host and self proclaimed "if you need something sold, I can sell it!" salesman Jeff Liberty, was a true honour today. I won't type too much here, but Jeff has experienced some horrific things in his life that lead to a year long battle with depression, including losing his house, his kids into care, being placed on suicide watch, drinking to numb the pain, and more. We delved into his incredible journey to healing and as he says he's in 'remission' from depression, and like any other illness, always aware of his triggers, always protective of his mental health. He also takes care of his body and soul, while also practicing gratitude - just being thankful for the small things in life, like the beautiful blue sky he noticed today while on our show, and celebrating his daughter's graduation this week. It's the small stuff that counts... #libertyslostyear Jeff reaches out continuously to share his story with s

You wonder if you are adopted, as there is constant criticism about your entire being. Or your mother tells you, when you're a girl, that you were supposed to be a boy. Gary, not Gayle. Do you have childhood scars? This is the subject matter of "Look at us NOW Mother!", an amazing new film chronicling the early years right up to present day of Gayle Kirschenbaum's difficult relationship with her mother, and the process that she goes through to understand her mother's upbringing, and how it impacted her parenting style, and ultimately Gayle's well being. Her journey to filmmaking began with a short film called "My Nose" that was created when her mother continued to badger her to get a nose job, and she agreed to attend a consult, as long as she could document the appointment on film. She did the appointment, but the resulting short was di

24/04/2015 Duração: 39minTodd Miller (Don River) from RTDS.ca sat down with Paul Rodgers, lead singer and guitarist/pianist of Free, Bad Company and Queen with Paul Rodgers, for an intimate, funny and enlightening chat on his career through the years, at Canadian Music Week! From the incomparable Free, Paul went on to form the highly successful and still-going Bad Company with Mick Ralphs, Simon Kirke and Boz Burrell (RIP). Paul also was asked, and laughed about, the recurring Western themes in his music..."Ahahahahaha, funny isn't it? #MOTM Vol 57 MIDWIFERY Patricia Harman Apr 22 2015 1
23/04/2015 Duração: 58minWho knew there was so much fascinating information that could be learned from a midwife? And one that also is a USA Today bestselling one too! Patricia Harman is our guest tonight on “Matters Of The Mind” with Dr. Peter Sacco, and we touch upon what a midwife does, what kind of training they can receive (as we found out there are various kinds of midwives), how much they can actually do, the various benefits and risks of home birthing, AND…finally, we talked about her historical novels about a reluctant midwife :-) Is midwifery on the upswing and becoming more popular Patricia is a wealth of knowledge, and supports both the pregnant mom and her partner, almost equally. Obviously, the pregnant mom requires more direct assistance, but can be a great help to a nervous, new father about what to do and NOT to do during the birth event. Good advice :-) Also, a midwife does not replace a partner during birthing, but becomes a director of sorts, an adviser, a coach. We also discussed how midwives can also pot
