Advent season is about awakening the angst of waiting, longing, and yearning for Christ.  In Advent Season, we re-live all of the longing and yearnings for the coming of the Messiah that our fathers and mothers in the faith experienced before us. One of the most difficult things to do is learning how to share the gospel in a post Christian culture. Where do we begin to talk about God in culture that has no framework for faith? In Acts 17, Paul models for us how to share Christ with those without any knowledge of the Bible.

The church is at its best when it prays. Every time the church prays in Acts, the impossible happens! 
Every major movement, every season of awakening and renewal has been characterized by intense, persistent corporate prayer. In this teaching we learn how God uses prayer in our lives to re-orient our fears and anxieties towards Him.

Easter is the culminating moment of the Christian calendar and the foundation of our faith.  We believe the Resurrection of Jesus is the hope of the world and a foretaste of the world to come. 

This new teaching focuses on the necessity of regular prayer as a central practice in the church― we'll examine what Jesus taught about prayer and how to prioritize prayer in our community life.

This is the final installment in our Exiles in Hope Vision Series. As we close out we learn as a church what suffering means, what it looks like, and how we can be joyful in suffering.

The Way of Jesus is about life together. Discipleship occurs when we are intentional in living out the teachings of Jesus within community. We recognize and submit to the command of scripture to love one another and this cannot happen if our lives do not intersect.

We are a Church community in the middle of Boston. Our vision and our desire is to live as those who pursue God and practice the Way of Jesus in our time and place, with an ambition to see the fame and deeds of God renewed in our time, and to practice a powerful faith in word and deed that brings renewal to our relationships, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

In this sermon we learn what it means to live and age in faithfulness towards God and others.

We took a break from the book of Ecclesiastes to consider the cultural moment we are in. We are living in one of one of the most divisive times of our country and while the country seems to be fracturing, the church has to remain a place not defined by the politics of the day but by hope in God who restores and renews His people. Still, how do we make sense of the political madness we find ourselves in and what is the way forward for the church?

Most of us aspire to know it all, do it all, and have all the answers. That's what we hope for. But what guarantees do we have of tomorrow? If you knew what would happen to you tomorrow, how would you live today?

One of the big messages in Ecclesiastes is learning to grasp this reality - life in this world eludes our control. How then should we live? We'll wrestle with this question and learn what it means to walk in the way of wisdom.

In Part 2 of Listening to God we talked about the spiritual discipline of listening to God's Word and what it looks like to form our everyday lives around it. Listen in and begin your journey of forming your life around God's Word.

This is a message about learning how to listen to God through His word. And one of the ways Ecclesiastes exposes our need to listen, comes from identifying and repenting of hypocrisy in our lives.
