God's character is of the type that loves to use grace to overturn human conventions in order to accomplish his purposes. Cutting against the grain of the patriarchal culture of the time, God uses Deborah to lead an entire nation. This patten of grace is actually what is ultimately normative in God's Kingdom. Grace overturns human conventions, but the gospel of Christ makes grace *the* convention of the Kingdom. Do not ever let human conventions dictate for you what God can or cannot do through you. God is God, and he will do what he wills by his grace. Judges 4:1-22

The great things of God are not what we expect them to be. God opens our eyes to true greatness in the Bible. And in order to accomplish those great things for God, there are certain things we need. The Moses account shows us what those are. Exodus 3:1-15, 3:18, 4:1-17

Many of us ask God for greater things in our lives but have difficulties attempting greater things for the Lord. Let us learn from few of the biblical characters who have been moved by the Spirit to attempt to do great things for the Lord. This week, we look into a critical moment in David's life when he take a leap of faith and overcomes his fears and anxieties. When we trust in the Lord and know who God is, our attempts to do greater things can be blessed. 1 Samuel 17:31-49

There are incredible graces and realizations, but, at the same time, there are profound struggles God makes us wrestle through in order to change us. God does not make us his own to leave us alone; he makes us his own to love us and to transform us. Genesis 28:10-22, Genesis 32:22-32

We don't like getting messy and dirty. But sometimes we need to dig through the dirt of our lives in order to get to the living water that cleans, sustains us and let us ultimately enjoy and float on the rivers of God's grace. John 4:4-26

There are many moments in our life when a major decision needs to made. Do we go left or right? Do we go up or down? In such decisive moments in our life, it is imperative that we strive to listen to God and make a wise choice. In today's passage, we see two men approach a fork in the road.
