Next to our salvation in Christ, and the born again experience, the most significant and powerful revelation we can receive is the revelation of our identity in Christ. We must come to terms with who we are in Christ and allow our spiritual identity to not only define us but empower us to be who we are called to be and do what we are called to do on this side of heaven.

The born again experience, and becoming new creations in Christ, is the greatest and the most significant miracle we received through Christ and it ought to be the source of our greatest joy and excitement.

We might be present physically but our attention and mind is diverted somewhere else. Our minds are all over the place and our expectations elsewhere. Too many distractions occupy the attention of the Church today and as a result we miss what God is saying to us and what He wants to do in our life and in the lives of those we care for.

Today we will take a look at how the Lord brings about this brokenness in us and the ways He uses to it remove the veil from our spiritual eyes and ears, that prevents us from receiving spiritual knowledge. Pride hardens our hearts and closes our eyes/ ears to the truth. The rod of discipline and correction are the means God uses to divorce us from our pride and rebellion. Brokenness comes through discipline.

True spiritual knowledge and intimacy with the Lord is only possible through brokenness. Only broken and humble people know the Lord in the Spirit; that is the people who have gone through discipline, people who have suffered in the flesh, and have embraced the cross allowing it to do its work in them.

Something that is explicit is expressed or shown clearly and openly, without any attempt to hide anything. It is something that is fully and clearly expressed or demonstrated; leaving nothing merely implied. I understood that morning that the Lord delights in us when we openly show and demonstrate such trust in Him.

Many Christians are being devoured by the spirit of poverty and they will continue to be devoured until they are delivered from wrong thinking. If the mind continues to house wrong thoughts our believing will be wrong and wrong believing will always produce wrong results. The domain in which we fight these battles and resist the devil is in the mind. This is where the greatest battles are won or lost. Poverty and insufficiency must be resisted first and foremost in the mind because the un- renewed mind not only gives access to this spirit but it also gives it a refuge.

In our teaching today we are going to deal with one part of the curse that we were freed from. That is the spirit of poverty and insufficiency. Poverty is a spirit; it has its roots in the spiritual realm but it manifests in the natural. We cannot fight poverty with natural means. We can’t fight poverty by throwing money at it. We can only break the cycle of poverty through the knowledge of God and His word.

Jesus is The Open Door. However many believers don't fully enter in and refuse to participate with the Spirit in renewing their mind. Before we can experience any kind of breakthrough we must first experience a transformation in our minds.

God's divine and overcoming nature is not automatically imparted to us, but only as we partake of Him through the Word. As we abide in Christ through the new birth and as His Word abides in us, we overcome. He, Who overcomes, is the Word in us.

Jesus lived and fellowshipped with His disciples. They came to know Him and to be known by Him intimately and relationally. In experiencing and knowing Jesus, they came to experience and know The Father. As the Father is within Jesus. In who He is - love. And through what he does - selflessly pour Himself out. This experiential knowing continued beyond the basin, beyond the cross for the disciples and for us too. Through the person of the Holy Spirit staying, remaining and abiding within us - we continually receive Jesus’ love-flow. As Jesus is within Holy Spirit. In who He is - love. And through what he does - selflessly pour Himself out. We only need to remain connected to Him and allow Him and His love-flow to through us into those around us.

Jesus loved us to the fullest extent. From the manger, through the basin to the cross. We, like Peter in John 13, begin in this love-flow by intimately receiving Him and His love for us. Only Him within us, His love flowing within our hearts can we share Him with those awaiting His heart and hands.

The goodness and the generosity of God are unlimited, but our ability to receive from God is limited. Damaged receivers and old wineskins are the cause of our inability to receive the highest and best God has for us.

To assume that one’s walk and relationship with the Lord is in good standing or that we no longer need to repent of anything, is the highest form of deception. On the morning of the 27th day of April the word of the Lord came to me saying write these words down on paper and proclaim them to my people. One of the deadliest and most dangerous deceptions in the Church today is when we go down a path of compromise giving in to our flesh thinking that because we are under grace we will escape Gods judgment on our ungodly behaviour. When we lose the sense of awe and reverence towards the word of God treating it as something common we go down a path of deception. When we view Gods commands as suggestions and not as commandments choosing which to obey and which to disregard we open up ourselves to all kinds of compromise.

Unless we engage God through our faith and tap into His unlimited resources sooner or later we will find ourselves unable to keep up with the financial demands that life places upon us.

People who struggle to believe in God's promise to provide, protect, and take care of them, are people who lack the revelation of how deep and wide Gods love is for them. Most of us don’t have a faith problem but a love problem. What we need is to deeply understand the greatness of Gods love toward us.

In any sphere of life we desire to see progress and development requires us to exercise our God given faith. This is the reason God gave us the gift of faith, so that we may use it to develop our selves, to make progress, and prosper in the things God has called us to.
