An inside look into planning the BCS Classic
13/07/2022 Duração: 28minThis week on the Building Better People Podcast, Charlie is talking to Amanda, who is the Assistant Event Director for the BCS Classic. Amanda takes care of all of the day-of (and now, multiple day-of) logistics for the entire event, which means she stays busy pretty much year round! Prior to serving at the Classic, she did a lot of event planning as a military spouse, which is where she developed her event planning and logistics skills. Amanda has been serving in this role since 2019, when Charlie had the idea to grow the competition exponentially from years past. When she first signed on to help, she had ZERO idea who Rich Froning was—it was only after she heard how excited the team was that she decided to go look him up since one of her day-of roles was to make sure he had everything he needed. Listen in for some more history of the BCS Classic and to get an inside look into what goes into planning an event like this.

What she once thought was easy to do has proven to be just as difficult, if not more, than dieting and trying to lose weight! She also opens up about her decision to have plastic surgery to remove the extra skin from her 120+ pound weight loss journey. Suzanne Neuberger - How a Supportive Work Environment Makes a Difference
11/05/2022 Duração: 35minMeet Suzanne — she is another one of our GREAT members who works at Amarillo National Bank, and she is 58 years young. Suzanne has been active for a good part of her life. When her kids were young, she was able to go workout during her lunch time, and even had a co worker that would go with her. As her kids got older, it got more difficult to stick to her routine, and although she stayed relatively active, she was really missing that structure in her life. Then one day recently, Suzanne saw an old picture of herself and realized some of the muscle definition she had when younger was now missing—and this inspired her to get back into the gym! 30/03/2022 Duração: 34minMeet Jennifer. She is 36 and has been working out with Bennett for the past 10 months. Jennifer came to us wanting to put on muscle. That’s right—here at Boomfit, weight loss isn’t the only thing we focus on. Muscle building may seem scary—but its exactly what can help you get the toned and muscular body you’ve been seeking. Building Systems to Support Healthy Habits
23/03/2022 Duração: 34minOn this month’s edition of Coaches’ Education, Stephanie is here to talk to Charlie about something important, and something we could all use a little work on. Sure, we all know those healthy habits that we should be implementing that will help make us the best versions of ourself. But, the question is, are we setting ourselves up for success? Stephanie shares how we can make healthy habits become easier for us by implementing systems in our daily lives that make these choices the easy ones to make. Rather than reaching for a bag of chips, how much easier would it be for us to grab some fruits or veggies if we already had those items cut up and displayed in our fridge where we easily see them and can grab them? This is just one example that she will discuss in this week’s episode. Give it a listen if you have been struggling to make those healthier habits stick in your life.

10 Minute Pep Talk - No More Excuses
16/03/2022 Duração: 11minThis month’s 10 minute pep talk Charlie hits us with the hard truth: Some times people are not achieving the results they want because they are not doing everything they should be to reach their goals. As Dave Ramsey puts it, “You are the problem….but the good news is that YOU are the problem because YOU can fix YOU.” “I can’t work out because I’m traveling.” “I can’t eat healthy because there were not healthy food choices available.” “I have too many social events coming up to try and diet right now”. Sound familiar? It’s time to start taking personal responsibility. Today is not about making you feel bad. It’s about motivating you to take ownership, and make your health a priority. Give this one a listen and save it for the future because its going to motivate you to start putting in the work you can control to reach your goals.

Listen in to hear how he has realized the importance of nutrition in meeting your fitness goals.
