Hadrat Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), Session 9  The Scribe of The Quran The Recorded Footsteps Zayd (ra) observes The Messenger ﷺ taking short steps whilst walking to Salaah as a person remains in Salaah as long as he is engaged in the effort of Salaah (Tabarani). Footsteps to Salaah * Rewards of Salah * Sins forgiven for each step * Good deeds recorded for each step * Received the reward of Sadaqa * Elevated rank * Protects from the punishment of the grave Surah 36 v12, We record that which they send before [deeds] and their traces [footsteps].

Quran class Session 4 Surah 25 The Criterion Session 4 v13-16 The Divine Binding Verse 13,' when they are cast therein bind them and constrict them' like the point of a spear. 'People will be hammered into Jahnnam just like nails are hammered into walls.' Umar ibn Abdul Azeez (rah) (as Governor)  recited verse 13 and sobbed so much arose and entered his dwelling and the people dispersed. Iblees will be the first to be clothed in fire and will be brought near Hell he will call out for his destruction, those who followed him will do the same. 'If a garment of hell was suspended between heaven & earth, the people of earth will perish due to the heat.' The 70k Angels of Wrath  Surah 89 Fajr, none binds like He binds. Is this better or the Eternal Garden promised to those with Taqwaa, verse 15. The most explicit verse regarding the everlasting nature of Paradise (Hafiz Bagawi), Surah 15 v48 - there is no sense of fatigue nor will they be ever asked to leave.

Quran class Surah 25 The Criterion Session 3 v8-11 The address of the folly of the unbelievers. The unbelievers say, why hasn't the Messenger ﷺ been give 'Aqala' blessings from all sides and an authority 'The hour will not pass until my ummah will join the polythesists and worship idols.' The 7 Gates of Hell Jahannum, Hutamah, Lazza, Sa'ir, Saaar, Hawiyah & Jahim. The 7 Ha-Meem Surahs prevent the reciter from entering these 7 gates.

Hadrat Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), Session 8 4 men from the Ansaar, Al Khazraj collected the Quran during the lifetime of The Messenger ﷺ... Ubaay ibn Ka'ab Mu'aazh ibn Jabal Zayd ibn Thabit Abu Zayd - (raa) Qays ibn al-Sakan ibn Za'awra, Banu An-Najjar, an Aqabee & Badri. The collectors are those who hear obey and thus collect it as per Abu Dar'daa (ra) (Ahmad). 4 from the Al Aws Hanzala ibn Raahib - bathed by the angels. Sa'ad ibn Moaazh - The glorious Throne shook when he was martyred. Aasim ibn Thabit ibn Abil Aflah - protected by a swarm of wasps when the idolaters intended to mutilate his body. Kuzaymah ibn Thabit - was equal to the testimony of 2 people (raa). Rejoice in the Bounty of Allah SWT & in His Mercy (The Messenger ﷺ), Indeed this is better than what they hoard, Surah 10 v58.

Hadrat Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), Session 7 The Scribe of The Quran Zayd (ra), The Prodigy, The Neighbour of The Messenger ﷺ. A blind man wished he could join the faithful in the campaigns, Surah 4 v95 is revealed. The Messenger ﷺ would correct any errors of Zayd (ra) (Tabarani). Surah 80 v 13-16, Written on honoured pages, Exalted & Purified. By the hands of the Scribes, honored and pious. After reciting Surah Najm to The Messenger ﷺ Zayd (ra) delayed the prostration (Bukhari).

Hadrat Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), Session 6 The Scribe of The Quran Zayd (ra) The Prodigy, The Neighbour of The Messenger ﷺ Write O Zayd (ra)! Place the Pen on your ear, indeed it helps keep the memory of the dictator sharp (Tirmidhi). The Messenger ﷺ had around 42 scribes (Majmoo Fatawaa). The utmost importance of an education. Zayd (ra) learnt how to write from a POW at Badr, soon after he was given an incredible responsibility. Zayd (ra) wrote letters to Kings on behalf of The Messenger ﷺ.

The Scribe of The Quran Zayd (ra), The Prodigy By the time The Messenger ﷺ migrated to Al Medina, Zayd (ra) was 11 years old and had memorised 17 Surahs from the Quran and took it upon himself to recite to The Messenger ﷺ who was delighted (Siyar). Whoever learns the Quran in his youth then Allah SWT will make it permeate into his flesh & blood (Bukhari). Zayd (ra) was told to learn Hebrew and learnt the language in 15 days, he had mastered it. Zayd (ra) also learnt the Persian language in 18 days and the Ethiopian language (Al Bidaya). Zayd (ra) learnt Syriac in 17 days and mastered it (Ahmad). Zayd (ra) recorded the Divine Revelation and also wrote to kings for he was well acquainted with Pharisee, Latin & Ethiopian (Tajaarib Al Umam). Surah 25 Session 2 v3-7 The verses discuss the attributes of a True God! Can any originate creation then repeat it? The pagans ask regarding the Messenger ﷺ, why does he eat food & walk in the market places? All Prophets visited the market places and ate food, verse 20. 'We only see a man like us!' Shayan saw the human form of Prophet Adam (as) but did not acknowledge the Essence of the Prophet. Asiyah (raa) honours Prophet Musa (as) and this leads her to The Garden of Eternity.

Surah 25 The Criterion Session 1 'There are 7 recitals so choose whichever is easy to recite.' 'O Jibreel (as) I have been sent to many different types of people there are the unlettered, the young and old, those that have never read a book... It's revealed in 7 recitals to make matters easy' (Tirmidhi). The Quran is sent as a guardian over the previous scriptures, hence its The Criterion. Jibreel (as) informs The Messenger ﷺ to recite The Verse of Honour Surah 17 v111 in times of difficulty. Elaborate designs in creation in due proportion, [birds of prey, microbes]. The first 9 verses discuss the sanctity of Tawheed and Prophethood. Tabrak (the opening word of the Surah) not only means blessed but abundant, copious and overflowing.

Surah Noor v63-64 29th Final session The previous nations addressed their Prophets by their names, the last Messenger ﷺ was addressed in a gentle manner due to the Great Esteem. 'O you who believe respond to that which gives you life', Surah 8 v24. Jibreel (as) in the form of a bedouin asks about Islam. The folly of innovation whilst assuming one would get a virtue that The Messenger ﷺ fell short of! Riyaa- minor shirk is a greater trial than the Dajaal, Surah Al Khaf is a protection.

Hadrat Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), Session 4 The Scribe of The Quran Blessed with Wealth Futures & Options 'Do not sell or buy date palms until the healthiness of their fruits are evident...' (Bukhari). 'When Zayd (ra) departed the world, he left behind an amount of gold & silver that would be broken with axes.'

Quran Class Surah 24 v62 28th session Banu Kinnana a tribe which considers it a shame to eat alone, so a verse is revealed 'there is no blame if you eat in company or separate.' 'Eat in company, sit together, mention the name of Allah SWT and there will be a blessing for you.' During The Battle of the Trench the confederates attack Al Medina, 5 AH Shawaal. The Hypocrites would sneak away whilst on duty, the faithful would request permission to leave and return quickly, the last 3 verses of Surah Noor are revealed. Surah 9 v43 Allah SWT gives you grace why do you grant them leave... notice the forgiveness before the criticism. Qadi Iyad  'Affa' does not mean forgiveness, but exemption.

Hadrat Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), Session 3. The Scribe of The Quran Umm Jameel (raa) performed 2 migrations, Abyssinia & Al Medina. Sayyidaa Umm Sa'ad (raa), wore an ivory bracelet & ring (Tabaqaat). The wisdom of sprinkling water on the grave. The 7 Great Taabi'oon  Sa'eed ibn al-Musayyab (rah) al-Qaasim ibn Muhammad (rah) Urwah ibn Hishaam (rah) Khaarijah ibn Zayd (rah) Aboo Salamah ibn Aboo Abdur Rahmaan (rah) Abdullah ibn Utbah ibn Mas 'ood (rah) Sulaymaan ibn Yasaar (rah). (Qurtobi).

Hadrat Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), Session 2. The Scribe of The Quran Sayyidaa Al Nawaar bint Malik (raa) mother was Salmaa bint Aamir. She married Thaanit ibn Adh Dhahhaak and bore him Zayd (ra) and his older brother Yazeed (ra). The older brother, Yazeed (ra) a veteran of Badr! (Tirmidhi). She later married Umaara ibn Hazm and bore him Malik and she became muslim (Ibn Sa'd). The Messenger ﷺ settled as a guest with Abu Ayub Al Ansari (ra), Nawaar (raa) was the first woman to send food. Bilal (ra) stood on the tallest house belonging to Nawaar (raa) to call the Adhaan. Umm Jameel was the wife of Zayd (ra), she was one of the earliest converts and bore Sa'd Khaarijah, Yahyaa, Ismaa'eel, Sulaymaan, Umm Uthmaan ans Umm Zayd (ra/a).

Hadrat Zayd ibn Thaabit (ra), Session 1. The Scribe of The Quran. You will be with those whom you love.' Signs of Love... Emulation, Surah 3 If you love Allah SWT follow The Messenger ﷺ. Acquainted with the one you love. If you love someone you will love what they love Zayd (ra) was born 11 years before the Hijrah - at the beginning of the 3rd year of Prophethood. The mother of Zayd (ra), Sayyidaa Al Nawaar bint Malik (raa) said, When I was pregnant with Zayd (ra), I saw on the Kaba green & yellow silk shawls, carpets and clothes from the weaving of the desert Arabs and squares of hair (Ibn Sa'd), this is part of the glad tidings in the life of the world & hereafter Surah 10 v64. The dream indicated that Zayd (ra) was destined to become a great personality from whom every Muslim would benefit immensely from - just as they benefit from the Glorious Kaba. 21 July 2024 Surah 24 v59-61 27th session The Verse of Food 'O Foolish one, recite The Verse of Food.' Ibn Abbas (ra) recites Surah 4 v29 'O believers do not eat up property unjustly unless via trade'. and states this is abrogated by Surah 24 v61 'there is no sin if you eat in your own houses...' Ibn Abbas (ra), the unbelievers try to make you doubt Islam , you don't eat that which is killed by Allah SWT (where animals die of natural causes) but you eat what you kill with your hands. Thr Sahaba related this to The Messenger ﷺ, Surah 6 v121 is revealed - 'Shaiteen inspire their friends to argue with you..' The food of The People of The Book is made permissible, Surah 5 v5. Food of a Siddiqui - 'intimate friend.' Hassan Al Basri (rah) in the absence of the market trader, eats dates & figs. Hisham asks 'O Abu Syed, how can you reconcile piety with this eating? Hassan al basri (rah), 'O foolish one recite The Verse of Food'... (verse 61) 'O Siddique Qum'- a friend whose soul & heart is at rest. Harith ib

The Last Day, that measures 50,000 years. A caller, Angel Israafeel (as) who will Stand on The Dome of The Rock and will address all the dead People of the entire world, O You rotten bones O You decomposed skins O You scattered hair Listen & respond Allah SWT commands you to reassemble to render accounts of your actions (ibn Asaakir), Surah Qaf v40-42. This scene depicts how after the 2nd blowing of the Horn, the world will be resurrected (Mariful Quran). 'Hurrying up' (Surah 50 v44) will be towards Syria when the Dome of the Rock is situated (Tirmidhi). The earth will be made flat & stretched out like leather, Surah 84 v3 (Haakim). 'The duration of time on The Last day for the believers will be like that between Zohar & Asr' (Haakim). The Bridge of Siraat, some will be given light like a mountain others much less. Some will cross the bridge like a falling star, others like the wind or like the blinking of an eye... (Haakim).

Were a man of Paradise to disclose his combe it would then outshine the light of the sun as it does the light of the stars' (Ahmad). Handkerchiefs & Combs are merely for pleasure as they are not needed in The Garden. There is no poverty after paradise and there is no prosperity after entering Hell (Siyar). Mankind can only have what they strive for and soon that striving shall be seen, Surah Najm v39-40. There is nothing like Hell and those that should flee from it are rather sleeping. Nor I have seen anything like Paradise, those who are seeking it should seek it, rather they are sleeping (Tirmishid). He who wants to know his position in the Sight of Allah SWT should then look at the position of Allah SWT in his sight, verily Allah SWT bestows a servant with a position in accordance with the position that a person accords to Allah SWT (Haakim).

A Sublime contrast. Life seems so long and our eternal home seems far, far away.... And paradise will be brought close to the God Fearing, no longer a distant thing... Surah 59 v 31 Conversely to those who mock the signs.... This is the Fire you used to deny, Is this magic or do you not see it clearly, Surah 52 v14-15 Let them laugh a little, much they will weep, Surah 9 v82 The world is short lived - let them laugh as they wish. They return to Allah SWT, their weeping thus does not end (ibn Abbas ra, Mariful Quran). 'Concern yourselves with that towards which you are heading and where you shall dwell forever' (Haakim).

3 occasions when no one will remember anyone else * Weighing the deeds in the scales of justice * When the record of deeds is placed in one of your hands * Whilst crossing the bridge of Siraat (Baihaqi). Say in prayer, 'O Lord Reckon me with an easy reckoning'- That Allah SWT overlooks your accounts (Ahmad). Surah 13 v21, and fear the terrible reckoning - means to undergo questioning about one's deeds (Ibn Abi Shaibah). What is then weighed in the awesome scales of Justice • The believers and unbelievers * The scrolls * the intangible * the blood of the scholars, the ink of scholars * The eating drinking of the horses The heaviest thing that would be placed in the scales of balance is good manners (Abu Dawud). 2 words are light on the tongue but heavy on the scales... سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ العَظِيم (Bukahri & Muslim)
