    I was walking thru the Detroit Historical Museum when Wendy Rose Bice, and Gail Greenberg said hello and asked me if I was Emily Gail. My first guests are long time friends who I had not seen for a long time.     This is from June 11, 2016 ... it was the Detroit Historical Museum and Detroit Historical Society 150 year celebration for Vernors. It was the end of the day and several thousand of us were outside in the courtyard of the Detroit Historical Museum to give open our can of Vernors they had handed out to all of us, take that first Vernors swig and give a Vernors toast to the wonderful day of celebration. Grant explains that while you have to pedal to get pedal assisted with the Specialized Turbo Levo that is what really increases the fun factor for every level of rider. Emily shares her experience riding the Levo and how she was able to ride on terrain that would normally be to difficult for her level of riding. The Levo is a great equalizer so all levels of riders can ride together.     Thanks to Claire Nelson (in photo with me)and Wayne Ramocan for inviting me to do a Parlor Talk at their Detroit Urban Consulate in Midtown. The first few minutes is everyone arriving... I left the chatter before we started the talk in because I felt it is indicative of the spirit of the evening. Once we got started thanks to all who shared their stories from the those days in the 70's-80's with the Emily Detroit Runs, Emily's Across the Street, their love of Detroit and how they continue to share and live the "say nice things about Detroit" attitude we started back in 1979 through their own efforts then and now.     I attended my first Detroit Urban Consulate Parlor Talk in June 2016 to hear Marsha Music. I was going to be giving a Parlor Talk the following week and felt this would be an opportunity for me to meet Marsha Music as  I have enjoyed seeing and hearing her virtually .
