Chaz & Aj In The Morning

Author Rob Harvilla was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about his new book, "60 Songs That Explain the 90's." Rob opened the call by explaining why he's qualified to pick songs for an entire decade, then offered his thoughts on the most common answers the Tribe gave on Facebook. 

Dumb Ass News - Slapping therapy is a real thing, and a man is dead because of it. Chaz and AJ try to figure out what it is and how it works with comedian Ayesheh Mae. (0:00) Every few years, there is a toy trend that sends parents into panic mode this time of year. Ayesheh shared a story about her father overpaying for Craigslist Furbys. (5:32) Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik spoke about Peter Frampton's show coming in March, the passing of Denny Laine, and other shows coming up next year he's already looking forward to. (8:34)

Connecticut Comptroller Sean Scanlon is making an appearance at the Chaz and AJ Toy Drive on Friday at Jordan's Furniture, even though he was unable to put the band back together. Instead of going on stage as a boy band of one, he wrangled up some local dancers to help. Now all he needs, is a band name! The Tribe called in their suggestions, and Sean picked his favorite from the bunch.

Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim made news headlines all over the state yesterday, following his hour-long sit down with Lisa Wexler. Chaz and AJ had Lisa on to talk about his admission of campaign violations, the moments he got a little emotional on the air, and the big question she forgot to ask him. (0:00) Toy injuries and mishaps happen to all of us, right? Chaz and AJ took calls from the Tribe about their painful experiences with toys like Legos, clackers, and of course, BB guns. (18:34) Darren Paltrowitz wrote a book about David Lee Roth, "How David Lee Roth Changed the World." Darren spoke to a lot of people from DLR's life, cousins, co-writers and more, to cover his career from childhood through today. Andy Billman and Joe Franco were in studio this morning with Chaz and AJ to talk about Toad's Place. The pair are working on a documentary about the iconic venue, and the impressive list of acts that have played on the stage. The Tribe immediately lit up the phone lines to share their favorite memories from attending shows. 

Chaz wanted to address some negative feedback the show received recently, from a source close to home. His wife, Jennifer was on and called her mom on the other line so she could address her distaste with a particular bit. (0:00) Dumb Ass News - A woman in Spain made headlines recently, after she admitted to swallowing her toothbrush while trying to free her esophagus of turkey. Phil then shared a story about choking on a dumpling, and thinking it was all over. (6:45) Scot Haney was on to share his excitement for the Toy Drive on Friday, and wound up horrified about the choking stories Chaz and AJ were sharing. Then, the Tribe called in their stories of the times they really thought it was all over, including one guy who flatlined in a restaurant. (14:58)

Chaz and AJ spoke with Todd Simon from Omaha Steaks ahead of the holidays about all their incredible packages and new options. 

Stunt or Stupid! AJ is back at it, zapping his fingers and hands for electric shock air guitar. Chaz and AJ played some music, and he did his best air guitar imitation on an electric fly swatter. 

Dumb Ass News - A woman in Florida was arrested after attempting to swallow counterfeit money, at a WalMart. (0:00) KISS has wrapped up their touring career, but not all the fans have a good feeling from their last shows this weekend. Chaz and AJ let the Tribe call in their thoughts on the two shows at MSG, the digital avatar announcement, and the lack of fan service at the shows. (7:13) Alfonso Ribiero was on with Chaz and AJ to talk briefly about his time on "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," and more about the latest seasons of "Dancing with the Stars" and "America's Funniest Home Videos."  (17:10) Image Credit: Reuters

Chaz and AJ have Boss Keith in studio every Friday for a Top 5 list. Today, he was in to share his thoughts about the Christmas season, but the majority of the time was the Tribe donating enough to the Toy Drive to clear the $5,000 threshold, to get him on a zip line in a reindeer costume. 

A plague of robberies has struck delivery drivers in New Haven, so Chaz and AJ asked the Tribe to share their stories of daily delivery driver difficulties. (0:00)  In Dumb Ass News, comedian Dom Fig joined in studio to talk about the lawyer who got busted for pooping in Pringles cans. (13:18)  WFSB's Scot Haney was on the phone to talk about the OGees performance a week from now, and talked about his new weather tool, "The Static Meter." (21:07)  Shot, or been shot? Chaz and AJ asked the Tribe to share their experiences being shot at, after reading a story about a man who was shot at for not sharing chips. (31:24)  Tom Cantone from Mohegan Sun was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about the special seats being auctioned off on Monday, all to benefit the Toy Drive. (36:22)  

Chaz and AJ welcomed Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik on the show this morning, and immediately was talking about why a Sammy Hagar/David Lee Roth tour will definitely not happen. Plus, a new show yet-to-be announced at the Toyota Oakdale Theater, his thoughts on a Pearl Jam tour, and his thoughts on the Rolling Stones tour maybe being their last one. 

Chaz and AJ are tying together the details for next week's Toy Drive, and received a lot of requests from the Tribe to include Boss Keith. He was immediately complaining about the proposed ropes course bit, and the Tribe refused to let him off the hook. (0:00)  Ruth's Mom is a Christmas movie expert, so she called in to talk to Chaz and AJ about the most watched holiday classics, according to a recent poll. With comedian Pat Oates also in studio, the conversation eventually took an odd turn, leading to an early exit by Ruth's Mom. (18:24)  In Dumb Ass News, a 12-year-old was arrested for stealing a forklift, leading police on an hour-long chase, and smashing up some cars in the process. A horrifying story about a spider, completely traumatized Chaz and AJ and their guest, comedian Shannon Fiedler. Then, the Tribe started to call in their own stories and encounters with spiders. 

Chaz and AJ will welcome the O Gees to the Toy Drive stage once again this year. Not quite the Bee Gees, as AJ, Scot Haney and Tribe member Andre all do their best to mimic the high notes and harmonies, to varying degrees of success. (0:00) Would you call this man a hero? Chaz and AJ were in disagreement this morning, split over whether or not the term "hero" was fitting for a crane operator, who is credited with saving a man's life. (6:41) Samantha Cole was in studio with Chaz and AJ to talk about her career as a recording artist, starting as a teenager and working with Shaggy on one of his biggest hits. Plus, her Christmas song, and the time she was introduced to Mick Jagger. (15:27) For the first time in history, Amity Pop Warner has four teams going to nationals. Coach Tom Fatone was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about the cheerleading teams, and football team that are all invited to big competitions in Florida. Chaz and AJ spoke to three producers of Cobra Kai, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald. They've all been friends for a long time, and have always been thinking about a way to bring back The Karate Kid. Together, they explained how it all happened, their thoughts on the movie franchise rebooting with Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan, and their latest project together "Obliterated." 

Dumb Ass News - A classic story is making the rounds on TikTok, which proves (yet again) that the government does not understand how the internet works. From 2011, the naming of a new Government center goes hilariously awry, when a former mayor's name was immediately disqualified. (0:00) It's a big week for KISS and their fans, as they play their last-ever shows at MSG. Chaz and AJ opened up Concert Talk Tuesday, specifically asking the Tribe to share their memories from KISS shows they've been to in the past. (7:56) The Tribe was asked to call in their neighbors from hell, and took the assignment a little too seriously. Chaz and AJ had to intervene and re-name the topic to bring the bit back to comedy. Dumb Ass News - A man in West Virginia was arrested after trying to kill someone who ate all the tacos. (0:00) What to do with your leftover Thanksgiving turkey and sides? AJ has the worst possible solution in Stunt or Stupid. (4:52) Has Connecticut already decided to stop all sales of gas powered cars? Vince Candelora was on to break down the decision, and who is in charge of making it. The Tribe immediately started calling to share their thoughts on the debate about electric vehicles. (17:44) If you have done any traveling in the last few days, it almost certainly went better than this flight. A viral video went around of the freakout, which had the most unexpected ending. (37:23)

Comedian Craig Gass was in with Chaz and AJ to talk about KISS. Craig has a long history with the band, and will be a special part of their farewell festivities in New York, sharing comedic impressions of Gene and Paul.
