Chaz & Aj In The Morning

A group of guys went viral, and were interviewed by their local news station after rescuing a raccoon from choking on a piece of cheese. Chaz and AJ played the audio, then asked the Tribe to call in their own amazing stories. 

A road rage incident in Old Saybrook made news, when one driver pulled a gun on the other. Chaz and AJ took a few calls from the Tribe about their road rage experiences, and learned that Memphis is apparently the road rage capital of the United States. (0:00) Joe Calzone, of Calzone Cases, talked about some of his famous clients. Joe has made special cases for a lot of sports teams, to safely transport their championship trophies. (6:35) Andy Randi is the man in charge of the fireworks for East Haven's 4th of July celebration. Andy was on to talk about the preparation, cost and safety that goes into a show of this magnitude, and Eddie Sab from the mayor's office called to share the specific playlist he's putting together for the show. This week's Stunt or Stupid involved AJ wearing a ninja mask, trying to swipe items from the counter, before comedian Manny Sierra could whack his hand with a ruler. 

Dumb Ass News - A man claims to have fractured his penis while sleeping, and no one except for AJ, believes him. (0:00) Protestors attempted to ruin the end of the Travelers Championship, running onto the course with smoke bombs during the end of the match. Chaz and AJ spoke with a spectator that witnessed the whole thing, then Joe the Weed Guy explains the newest medical conditions the state is recognizing for medical marijuana. (6:56) Wild weather came through the state this weekend, including a confirmed tornado and a lightning strike in Cromwell. The Tribe called in their craziest weather experiences. Nathan Grube, Travelers Championship executive director, was on with Chaz and AJ this morning from the golf course, to explain why the tournament is starting earlier today. (0:00) Comedian Dom Fig was in studio to comment on the continued rivalry (or shared hatred) of drivers and cyclists. Plus, some really scary stories of accidents involving cyclists from the Tribe. (8:23) Celebrating 90 years of pizza excellence, Zuppardi's was in the house this morning. Jim and his mother, Lori brought in a few pizzas and talked about the family history of the Zuppardi's. (27:02) Filling in for a vacationing Boss Keith, comedian Vic DiBitetto was on to share the Top 5 things that make him mad. (40:29)

Comedian Nikki Glaser was on with Chaz and AJ, still riding high from her incredible performance at the Tom Brady roast. Dumb Ass News - Comedian Ayesheh Mae was in studio, as Chaz and AJ addressed their "people to punch in the face" lists. One of these lists was recently found at a grocery store. (0:00) David Standridge, chef at Mystic's Shipwright's Daughter, was on to talk about winning the James Beard award. David admitted to not using his notes during his speech, Gordon Ramsay visiting the kitchen recently (prior to his bicycle accident,) and what it was like to open up in 2020. (5:37) Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on with Chaz and AJ to address the early ticket sale success for the Soundside Music Festival, just missing an opportunity to speak with Paul McCartney, and some of the artists he's struggled to work with in the past. It's all over the news, a heat wave has descended upon Connecticut. Chaz and AJ are more than a little annoyed that this is such big news, given that everyone should already know the important ways to stay safe in the heat. (0:00) Principal Scott Jefferey from Cheshire was named one of 2024's "Principals of the Year." He was on to talk about the types of behavior that will land students in his office today, which sounds very different from when Chaz and AJ were last in school. (9:57) Dumb Ass News - Moron teenager was arrested for knocking over a porta potty with a mom and her 4-year-old daughter trapped inside. (17:30) Comedian Vince Berry recently screwed up a first date so badly, he blocked her on social media. While explaining how he blew his chance, Jojo in Wallingford called to give him another shot, and he nearly bombed that as well! CT DMV Commissioner Tony Guerrera was in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning, taking notes from the Tribe about the ways the department can improve. 

A carnival ride became stuck, stranding numerous passengers upside-down for over 30 minutes. Chaz and AJ also talked about a rescue that happened in Connecticut, a boat carrying nine people began to sink. (0:00) Dumb Ass News - A cop was fired for filming an OnlyFans video while in uniform. (12:12) Armada Brewing in New Haven all started with Johnny Kraszewski, a $20,000 check, and some scary late night renovations. Now, they are one of the most successful breweries in the state, hosting paranormal nights and wrestling events. (18:37) Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was in a terrible bicycle accident in Connecticut recently, sharing a video to his social media about the importance of wearing a helmet. Gordon also showed off his gnarly, bruised body and Chaz and AJ attempted a re-enactment of his crash. (26:52) The Tribe attempted to Stump the Chumps with their Academy Awards trivia. Chaz and AJ did not know many of the answers today, but thoroughly enjoyed learning from the questions being called in. (30:05)

The Travelers Championship is Connecticut's biggest professional sporting event each year. Nathan Grube, the tournament executive director, was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about the incredible lineup of golfers attending this year, including the World's #1. (0:00) The Tribe called in their epic dad stories, good or bad, to celebrate Father's Day. (12:50) Boss Keith was in studio for his Top 5 list of dad advice. (29:27)

Connecticut's Attorney General, William Tong was in studio with Chaz and AJ to try one of the state's specialties: a hot, buttered lobster roll. Ricky from the 7 Seas was in, with his chef-assistant Boston John, to make the fresh, hot lobster rolls. 

An explosion happened in Bridgeport during the overnight, so Mayor Ganim was on with Chaz and AJ to explain the incident. Plus, the Tribe called in their stories of witnessing explosions. (0:00) Dumb Ass News - A high school coach was fired for choking a student, after he refused to do push-ups. (14:14) Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on to talk ticket prices (which are set by the artists, today) and answered the Tribe's questions about their favorite artists. Plus, Chaz admits he nearly killed someone at Yankee Stadium by taking pictures on his phone. (18:26)

Actor/Director/Producer/Bandit Daniel Stern was on with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about his new book. Dan Baril is a Master Jerk. Chaz and AJ invited him in studio to talk about his excellent beef jerky, and took a call from Ed in Milford, AKA the "Jerky King." (0:00) Apple is introducing AI to their smartphones, and not everyone loves the idea. Steve the Gadget Guy was on to talk about the announcement, and how AI will be implemented into cell phones. (10:24) Fox 61's Alexa Farrell was in studio this morning to share some personal stories, like the time she found herself on a smuggler's speedboat in Miami, and nearly choking to death on a hotdog. (22:39)

David Goldman, general sales manager with Window Nation, was in with Chaz and AJ to talk about windows! He explained their window replacement process, and how it can actually save you money from an energy conservation standpoint. 

Michael Morand, the city historian of New Haven, was in studio with Chaz and AJ today to discuss the absurdly high amount of dead bodies under the New Haven green. Plus, why the city's first "drummer" was run out of town for doing his job. 

Chaz's wife, Jennifer was to share a story about her mother who recently needed to stay in a medical rehab facility for pneumonia. The process led them to a place she felt less than comfortable with. (0:00) Dumb Ass News - A live streamer went to the gym, and trying to entertain his viewers, messed with the wrong influencer. (10:00) The Tribe called Chaz and AJ to share stories from their hometowns. In this case, it was the "weirdos" and the thing they did that made news headlines. (16:50)
