Chaz & Aj In The Morning

Mark DaSilva from BADSONS Beer Co., was in studio with Chaz and AJ to talk about the 15-year plan to get into their building, and why he dropped out of a helicopter with skis on. 

Andre in Derby took over Top 10 duties this morning, and caught a little heat for ranking soup his number one "comfort food." Chaz and AJ were discussing the ranking, when it was revealed that AJ has actually made a song about soup in the past. (0:00) Dumb Ass News - Losing a fistfight to a tuba player, while he's holding the tuba and playing, is a tough look. (11:07) So, is AJ OK to go in the box? After a visit with his doctor yesterday, AJ revealed whether or not he's been medically cleared for the event, while a nervous Scot Haney waited to hear on the phone. (16:32) East Haven's Mayor Joe Carfora was on to talk about the election and then the Tribe called in a story about getting stuck on the Small World ride at Disney, and how the song was easily the worst part of the inconvenience. (21:21) In Derby, mayor Zeke was not re-elected, but called in to talk to Chaz and AJ about the new mayor-elect. (35:21)

Dennis House, a real, live news guy was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about the big elections taking place today, from vacated mayoral seats to the situation in Bridgeport. His cat, Angelo may have stolen the show. (0:00) News 8's Ashley Baylor was in studio, and shared some hilarious stories about meeting her husband. Their first encounter was in a not-so-great bar, she hated the proposal, and he had no idea what to wear to a Killswitch Engage concert. (15:23) Comedian Matt Lopes was today's "expert" in Stump the Chumps, since he was pretty good at states and capitals back in fifth grade. (39:41)

AJ is back in the studio! Chaz and AJ reunited in person, as his recovery from surgery continues to progress. Right away, they talked about AJ in a Box starting on Thursday, and how things will go differently this year. (0:00) Dumb Ass News - A dad has sued a hospital, after the horrible things he witnessed during his wife's C-section procedure. (6:38) The Tribe attempted to Stump the Chumps with their trivia questions from music videos of the 1990s. (13:20)

Michael Grenier was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about a very specific problem; loose, feral pigs. Dumb Ass News - A refusal to buy a Happy Meal, leads to a gun being pulled, an arrest, and a conversation about the last time everyone has had one. (0:00) WFSB's Scot Haney was on to talk about the debate between Chaz and AJ and the Tribe over AJ in a Box. AJ wants to go through with it! The Tribe says he should focus on recovery, so what is Scot's solution? The new Plan B develops. (5:03) The Tribe called in their redneck moments, from potato guns, to shotgun games, and "chain racing" with three cars all tied together. (21:57) Boss Keith hates your Halloween decorations, and other rants from the holiday that is only for children. (43:38)

Keego the comedian was in studio all the way from Ireland this morning. Chaz and AJ wanted to make sure his first trip to Connecticut was the best it could be, so they asked the Tribe to call in and share the must-see things in the state. 

AJ in a Box will kick off in exactly a week. Chaz and AJ spent some of this morning trying to figure out what items he should be able to bring into the box with him, and big debate broke out regarding his cellphone. (0:00) Dumb Ass News - Irish comedian Keego was in studio, and learned all about "back ass." AJ was happy to explain, while talking about a news story of a stabbing victim using the knife in his back against his attacker. (6:29) Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on to talk about the Beatles releasing their last-ever song today, and some memories from shows he promoted in the early '90s with Guns N Roses, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Smashing Pumpkins. (11:06) Joe LaChance, "The Weed Guy," was on to share some great news! First, he needed a little toke, and then shared a great story of getting a little too high once during an important meeting. (35:06)

Chaz and AJ had comedian Ayesheh Mae in studio this morning, and discussed a viral list from women on the internet regarding where NOT to go on a first date. The list was quickly set aside as Ayesheh and Phil both had stories of terrible first dates, then Tribe member Bedelia shared the best bad date, Bubba. 

Dumb Ass News - Artificial Intelligence was probably what he intended, but British pop star Cliff Richard did not say that. (0:00) Carlos sent the show an email, offering to play guitar in studio and share stories from his EMT career. So, the guitar playing paramedic was in studio this morning to tell us why you should not throw milk on a person having a heart attack. (3:09) Dumb Ass News - Just so everyone knows, AJ was not faking. An angry text from the Tribe accused AJ of pretending to be scared last year while going up in the bucket truck. (13:55)

John Kozik runs the only Ouija Board Museum, and was on with Chaz and AJ this morning. John has come into possession of hundreds of boards, from all kinds of people, that come connected to stories of hauntings and strange happenings. Chaz and AJ started the day talking about Ruth's costume this morning, their plans for Halloween, and the worst candy to hand out. (0:00) During the Top 10 list, Connecticut sites of urban legends, Steve from Stratford called to warn people about the creepiest lore from town and wish a happy birthday to his friend, Barb. (17:50) How old is too old to go out trick-or-treating? Chaz and AJ debate the proper age cut-off, and a Tribe member called in why he and his wife go out every year in their neighborhood. That information wasn't the weirdest part of the call, though. (27:09) Andrew Gernhardt is a horror movie producer, who now makes Christmas movies. AJ In A Box is back! He was home this morning, still in recovery from hernia surgery, but next week starts the AJ In A Box kickoff to the Toy Drive. TWO headlining musical acts announced this year, Finger Eleven and Foghat! (0:00) Dumb Ass News - A relationship with a ghost ended, because of his "blank." The Tribe called in their best guesses to fill in the blank, and finally got the answer to the strange thing that ended a 20+ year relationship. (1:58) Vince Berry asked some folks at last week's Shrek rave to try and pronounce some notoriously difficult words. Nobody seems to know how to say one specific kind of sauce. (7:37) Kurt Vail was on to talk about his determination to end the daylight saving nonsense for Connecticut. Many other states would have to join in for it to work. (16:08) Dumb Ass News - Flavor Flav may be a great musician, but not so much a singer. He did his very best attempt to sing the National Anthem anyway, and took his sweet time doing it. The Chaz and AJ Monster's Ball is tonight, and the creative costumes are always a fun surprise. Turns out that Ruth has had quite of few of those costumes in the past, including more than one that were on stage as a finalist for the grand prize. 

WFSB's Scot Haney did not want to give away his Halloween costume, but Chaz was able to pick it out of thin air. (0:00) A full update from AJ on his hernia surgery recovery. He tried to give details about his surgical drain in between bites of his breakfast. (9:37) The Flubble Montage is the best of the worst moments from the week, all the mistakes and blunders that made us laugh. (23:34) Boss Keith had a personal Top 5 list this week, to vent about his least favorite parts about the waiting room in the hospital. (26:57)

Chaz and AJ were nominated for a Marconi, as were some of the Connoisseur Media radio stations. Chaz went to New York for the ceremony, and decided to seize an opportunity to take the stage to give the voting board a message for 2024. Nobody, including Chaz, knew he was going to do that - so how does the CEO feel about how the stage bombing incident went down? 

Dumb Ass News - Comedian Alyssa Goggi was in studio to talk about a nurse surviving a spork attack by a patient. (0:00) AJ called in live from his hospital recovery bed, to talk about the food he's been eating (or drinking) since his hernia surgery yesterday. (3:51) Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik doesn't believe a Sound on Sound music festival will be a reality next year, and took calls from the Tribe about Nirvana, Metallica and the April 2024 eclipse. (15:34) Airplane expert Dick Knapinski was on to talk about the off-duty pilot that nearly took down an Alaska Airlines flight, and has since been charged with over 80 counts of attempted murder. (37:35)
