The fall out from vaccination mandates including fines upwards to $14,000
11/11/2021 Duração: 32minLIVE TODAY! @ a special time of 4:30 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! A delayed and shortened show due to other Commissioner work but still important local issues to discuss. Redistricting is moving to the Board level with two public hearings coming up and written testimony being taken right now. The Brandon administration released "temporary emergency rules" for a federal vaccine mandate on private business and our county employee mandate becomes effective on November 30th. All this despite evidence and studies that say we are reaching herd immunity without them. We can also talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You can listen to the show online (just click the picture below) or on your phone by calling 646-721-9887. Strategic plan and venereal disease
03/11/2021 Duração: 01h01minLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Lane County is updating our strategic plan and the public can weigh in on our future priorities now. I'll provide some details on how you can do that. Speaking of public input, the final three redistricting maps are coming to the Board and you can also provide written and oral testimony about which one you want adopted. Two of the three were developed by a paid political consultant to Joe Berney and Heather Buch, who are both up for re-election. The Board also received our semi-annual report form our public health department which focused on the increasing rates of sexually transmitted diseases in the county. The rise in STD's began in 2008, what else happened around then? We can also talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You can listen to the show online (just click the picture below) or on your phone by calling 646-721-9887. What's scarier on Halloween than kids going to your house?
27/10/2021 Duração: 01h01minLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Redistricting is upon us and the first draft maps were released for public comment by our "Independent" Redistricting Committee. It turns out one of the members who has been producing multiple maps for the committee was also the political consultant for two Commissioners up for re-election, Joe Berney and Heather Buch. Bi-mart is closing pharmacies due to Oregon's taxes and now a survey of accountants shows that more than 85% have individual clients considering leaving Oregon due to the tax burden and 80% reported having a business client looking to leave the state. OHSU is predicting herd immunity in December counting natural immunity making up 24%, why is natural immunity ignored for meeting vaccine mandates? Meanwhile I had to make a public records request to my own County to get the minority percentage of those that did not comply with the mandate and were either terminated or applied for an exception. Our Progressive majority followed the orders of

Vaccine mandates took effect October 18
20/10/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Mandate Monday has come and gone and the biggest news is that the state government once again leaks sensitive personal information from their databases. This time it was a complete listing of vaccination status of Oregon employees covered under the Monday deadline. At the same time, information on Lane County employee vaccine status by demographic group that was promised last week was withheld due to the sensitive nature and other reasons. Meanwhile the Board had a presentation on how we are using an "equity lens" at the county. Hold on to your wallets because we also had a presentation on funding for our parks system and they want to add to your property tax bill. This is on top of the proposed storm water fees that public works presented about a month ago. We can also talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! David Loveall Candidacy for County Commissioner
14/10/2021 Duração: 01h01minLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! My guest will be David Loveall. David just announced his candidacy for County Commissioner for the Springfield seat. I have known David since 1994 but I want to give the Boze Noze audience a chance to get to know David as I do. As a compassionate person that cares deeply about his community. David is also innovative and I will let him tell you how that has changed downtown Springfield. In addition, we might just talk about vaccine equity, employee mandates and structural racism. If you want to ask David a question or talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! Who will suffer the greatest employment losses under the mandate(s)?
06/10/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! The state released vaccination data by race by county and it becomes obvious that vaccine mandates will have greater impact on minorities, yet we hear crickets from the social justice warriors on this subject. The Eugene Weekly weighed in on my vote against Indigenous People's Day and scoffed at the science I referenced. Meanwhile the senate confirmed a former terrorist to be the head of the Bureau of Land Management while our Attorney General is threatening to label parents as terrorist for protesting COVID mandates and Critical Race Theory in the classrooms of the children. You should also be looking for hidden agendas when it comes to the Facebook hearings in Congress, it is another attempt to silence speech that does not follow the party line. COVID-19, Board of Commissioners meeting, and more
01/10/2021 Duração: 01h01minLIVE TODAY! @ 5:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! A special time this week due to the scheduling of another closed door meeting of the Board at our normal broadcast time. We saw some more hidden agendas come out last week but this week we approved usurping one holiday with another. COVID is still in the local and national news. So is Gerrymandering, I mean redistricting at the state level. We can also talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! Vaccine mandates and closed door meetings
22/09/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! The Board agreed on a 3-2 to be more transparent and release the recordings of two closed door meetings where the Commissioners discussed options for employee vaccine mandates and ultimately chose the most restrictive option. (I supported the option to do nothing) This making of a decision behind closed doors brought back memories of "the Book Club" and the manipulation of the budget process in secret meetings. I was also out voted on a by-law change to reduce the role of elected officials in the oversight of the local HUD housing authority, reducing the accountability to the voters for and agency that spends millions of tax dollars annually. I will also be back fresh from my annual inspection of the Jail. We can also talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! Property Tax Relief Update for Fire Survivors
15/09/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! COVID is still the number one topic as local governments are passing emergency declarations in anticipation of labor shortages due to vaccine mandates. This is a real concern as the vaccination rate varies in public employees and law enforcement has one of the lowest rates. Another area with lower rates is our field personnel in public works departments, like the guys that run the landfill. Whether you support the mandates or not, the labor shortage they will cause in the local government could be as big a health hazard as COVID. BLM is still moving ahead with removing Horton Pond. Floodplain regulation is back on our agenda and I am going to jail next week...for an inspection. We can also talk about whatever you want to talk about, just give us a call! Recently passed legislation (HB 2341) increased the amount eligible for property tax proration for most properties and removed the requirement for an application from property owners... The future of Hult Dam and 9/11 Memorial Ride
08/09/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! It was one year ago today that we started to understand the scope of the tragedy that began the night before during a historic east wind event. It was twenty years ago this coming Saturday that another tragedy brought on intentionally by evil people struck this nation. We are going to talk about both and a memorial ride. The BLM (the federal agency not the political movement or organization) is also proposing to remove the Hult Pond near Horton where many locals learned to fish and swim as kids. Covid is still in the news as mandates are being pushed instead of education. The local community voice is critical to reimagining the future of the Hult Dam area. To hear from the public, the BLM will hold an open house on Thursday, September 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. The BLM invites members of the public to attend any portion of the open house. Project staff will be available to share information, answer questions, and receive comments. There will be no formal pres

COVID, Fireworks and Freedom
01/09/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! I'm Baaack! While it was gone our board went beyond fire safety and banned the sales and manufacture of fireworks during a declared fire season, not just the use and discharge. Yesterday they approved a letter over my objections that commended the Governor for her actions around COVID even though she is doing all of them under what I believe to be an unconstitutional power grab. Then there is the question of vaccine mandates while telling people that if they lose their job over-vaccination status they will not be eligible for unemployment. Can you say "coercion"? Regardless, vaccination is still statistically the best defense against COVID, even the Delta variant. Parents need to take their concerns over school mask mandates to Salem where it is being forced on your local school board at the point of a gun figuratively, firing a superintendent caught in the middle is just stupid. There are also a few national/international issues that blew up while I was

Lane County Commissioners call for masking up
11/08/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! What a difference a week makes. Last week Oregon was at COVID hospitalization and ICU numbers were similar to last June when we lifted restrictions. This week we are setting records. The Delta variant is real and extremely contagious so our Board issued an emergency public health advisory asking people to take extra precautions like wearing masks indoors...today the Governor used her self given emergency powers to make that a mandate, not a request. Meanwhile, we have the Middle Fork Complex burning near Oakridge causing level 1 and 2 evacuation notices. Our Board is moving forward with a fireworks ban during fire season that goes beyond use and discharge. And di you know that Lane County Parks actually requires dogs to be on a leash? I am surprised how many people were unaware. We can also talk about whatever you want to talk about, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. More fires & more masks mandates coming?
04/08/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Delta, Vaccines, and Masks! Oh my! Let's take a step back and look at some data. Fire and smoke are back in Lane County. Against my objection our Board has made public employees paid with taxpayer money above the taxpayers by setting a minimum wage for these public employees above those paying for that wage. The progressives also chose to deny a quarry application rather than allow additional time to address a possible conflict causing longer truck trips to deliver gravel in the Oakridge area adding to our carbon footprint and to he cost of needed housing. Speaking of climate and resilience the privileged folks of South Eugene have managed to stop a project aimed at making Eugene's drinking water system more resilient to climate change because, "not in my backyard!" Just like the safe sleeping sites for the homeless. We can also talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays.

Fireworks and possible bans
21/07/2021 Duração: 59minLIVE TODAY! @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! The Board will consider a fireworks ban for Lane County but the devil is in the details. The board is also moving forward with a ban of styrofoam and a $15/hour minimum wage for county employees. I also want to talk about the EWEB reservoir project in south Eugene as I was part of the master planning for that project. COVID is also getting back into the news and I want to make clear that Lane County never intended to go door-to-door unsolicited to ask people if they want a vaccine. The reporting of remarks by our spokeperson were taken out of context. We can also talk about what ever you want to talk about, just give us a call! Mike Pihl, Executive Board President of #TimberUnity
14/07/2021 Duração: 01h00sMy guest this week will be Mike Pihl, Executive Board President of #TimberUnity Association to talk about the charitable work of the association to provide hay to Klamath Basin farmers that were cut-off from irrigation water. #TimberUnity recently provided funds and tools to victims of last year’s Labor Day fires. You may also remember Mike from the History Channel show “Axe Men”. You can even call in and ask Mike about #TimberUnity and anything else on your mind. Post 4th of July show
07/07/2021 Duração: 58minLIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! Independence Day was eventful in Lane County. On the inspiration side, Robin will give a firsthand report on the Tribute to Fallen Soldiers motorcycle ride to Junction City including a flyover by F-18's. On the controversial side, there was an unpermitted parade in Creswell to talk about. On the tragically sad side, two people died and several were injured in holiday traffic on Hwy 126 in Veneta. This tragedy and the recent cyber attacks has me thinking about the Infrastructure Bill in Congress that seems to be stalled. We can also talk about whatever is on your mind, just give us a call! 4th of July and fire danger
30/06/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! I'm back from Delaware where no masks were required and today the Governor finally dropped our mask mandate, one of the last states to do so. The 4th is this weekend and today ODF moved us into "high fire danger" limiting many activities like lawn mowing so not setting off personal fireworks should be a no brainer. I have a suggestion of alternate ways to celebrate our Independence. The legislature finally adjourned so we are safe for another year but there were some really bad bills passed in the late moments during a session which no public allowed in the building. There is so much more to talk about or we can also talk about whatever is on your mind, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. Proposed Homeless Camp Sites
16/06/2021 Duração: 01h02minLIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! So the City of Eugene is proposing "safe sleeping" sites and none are south of 11th but 8 of 11 are in Council Ward 7. One site is not even inside the city limits! At the same time they are considering an ordinance requiring RV and car campers to move every couple of days. Thne Governor finally signed HB 2289 that will waive planning approvals for folks that lost a residence due to the Holiday Farm fire. I asked the Board to provide policy direction to our staff to take the most liberal interpretation of the legislation and make it easy for fire victims to skip the planning process, Heather Buch and the rest of the progressive majority balked at providing this guidance. COVID is still making news and Oregon now wants counties to put money into the vaccine lottery, but veterans have to jump through hoops to participate. We can also talk about whatever is on your mind, just give us a call! The Boze Noze Show is live at 4:00 pm Pacific on Wednesdays. You ca

Do you believe in vaccination passports?
09/06/2021 Duração: 01h00sLIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! We hit the arbitrary 65% adult vaccination rate and the scepter has waived so Lane County is now permanently in the low risk category but do those restrictions even make sense anymore? Should you be required to present proof of vaccination? Do progressives really support democracy? Our current progressive Board majority does not seem to support the People's democratic initiative rights. I asked a question to our homeless services folks, are we starting to attract homeless to Lane County with the enabling "assistance" we provide or are we really concentrating on providing re-abling case management that will decrease our homeless population. We are spending tens of millions on services for the homeless and the population is growing. What do you think? We can also talk about whatever is on your mind, just give us a call!
