We need to see more of this in our world. Useful kindness that meets real needs God’s way. Kindness in both words and actions. Kindness makes people feel valued. These acts of kindness aren’t random, but intentional to communicate the love and value each person holds as a created being. Choosing the longer line at the grocery store may be the best thing for you. Patience makes us teachable. Patience causes us to take our reliance off ourselves and refocus on God. When we are patient/long-suffering, we allow God to do the work necessary in our heart by putting our full trust in Him and off our own abilities and rights, and watch as God moves on those who are watching us in our patience. Peace arises as we count the many mini-miracles Jesus gives us each day. We can have peace with God through Jesus and peace with others, contrasted with someone who lives by the flesh and is given to envy, fits of anger, rivalries and division. Speaker:  Ron Baker

The true understanding of love is found once we grasp the love Jesus has for us. Love is the fruit which all others are drawn from. Divine love from/for God that makes room for everyone to have a seat at the table. A love that cannot be earned. Speaker:  Ron Baker

In John 15, Jesus gives a vivid image of what it means to be in union with him. It’s the image of a branch and vine. What Jesus does is help us see that if we are to have an abundant life within the kingdom of heaven, we must abide in Him. Part of remaining in Jesus are the intentional daily rhythms every person needs to grow as an apprentice of Jesus. It’s one thing to say you love Jesus, it’s another to desire and submit my daily patterns that enable me to live a life that demonstrates his influence in my life. For apart from Him we bear no fruit in for the kingdom of God. Speaker:  Ron Baker

In Luke 15, Jesus tells a three part parable that creates a narrative that portrays the focus of Jesus heart for those that have not yet been found. The lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son. Vitalpoint has a mission to reach people and help them become fully devoted followers of Jesus. One of our core values is invest and invite in those around us that have not yet encountered Jesus. We will cast a vision for each VPC person to live in a way that helps reach more people, which means we will give heaven an excuse to party! Speaker: Ron Baker

We need people in our life to advise us, those that have gone before us. Having a variety of advisors, not just people who are like us, who think like us, but rather people who will challenge us and our thinking. It’s not enough to have advisors and counsel, but we must be willing to listen to them. They should emulate wisdom and fruit of the Spirit in their lives as well. Speaker:  Ron Baker

We can understand this text in both the literal sense of adultery and imagery often used in the Old Testament as those who lure us away from our faith. Adultery is a theme found several times in Proverbs. In these relationships we find ourselves compromising more and more. This can begin by a slow slipping until suddenly, we find ourselves in a dangerous place. Adultery will lead us to death, but wisdom will lead us to life. This passage can help us practice wisdom by identifying and avoiding adulterous relationships that lead to spiritual death. Speaker:  David Campbell

Prioritizing the reading, studying and applying of God’s Word (the Bible) helps us grow in our knowledge of Him and wisdom to our lives. God patiently teaches us through His written words, and it protects us from believing the lies we are bombarded with daily. Everything must be examined through our biblical worldview, and we must be careful not to add or take away from it. Speaker:  Ron Baker
