The authority we have to live a righteous life comes from knowing who you are with your new identity in Christ. Grace teaches you to say no to ungodliness. This is how you deal with temptation. You say no to ungodliness by saying yes to righteousness!

All healthy long term relationships go through the natural cycle of excitement, disappointment and if you choose to work through that disappointment, then the relationship will grow to a level that models what christlike love looks like. Choosing someone despite their shortcomings.

If we change our thinking so that we believe what God says i His Word about who we are and what we have, then there is agreement between our spirit and soul (our new self and our thinking), and then our flesh and circumstances will experience the new life of God that has been deposited i you. When we allow the Mind of Christ in our new spirit renew our natural mind then we will fully access and manifest the Kingdom life.

Ps Gideon teaches through the book of Romans and shows how believers have received a new nature when they were born of God. The old sinful nature was cut away, and new life was given in Jesus. This gift of God's nature is completely holy and pure, with the same righteousness as Jesus. We are just like Him in our new born spirit. This empowers us to live a Godly life that pleases the Lord and gives Him honour.

There is a lot of teaching around the Father Heart of God and yet there is also the 'Mother' heart of God's character that needs to be identified for us to understand Him in His fullness and wholeness. The nature of God is not masculine or feminine in the biological sense, but in the spiritual sense of the word as a loving, nurturing parent! God describes Himself as a mother hen who stretches out Her wings to protect and nature her offspring. He wants us to know His gentle, tender, and merciful heart towards us.
