We do need to let go of the past to allow for the future, but being futurd-minded is the next step. ​ I began praying in advance for the jurors who will decide the fate of the monster who killed Jamie. Think about this... Somewhere there are 12 men and women (plus alternates) who are going about their lives having no idea that our lives will intersect in a profound way! From what I hear, it could be another two years to trial, so why am I praying now? I am being future-minded!

While I don't believe God gives us middle fingers, it can sure feel that way when you pray for a miracle and you get the opposite. When you are trying to do the right thing, to make a difference, and the breaks don't come. That's how it felt to me when I prayed for a miracle for years and Jamie was murdered. I was so mad at God and told him (loudly) that he got it wrong. Yes, he blew it. I don't care about the big picture...I had MY idea of how things should have gone. Can you relate?
