Someone I'm not a real fan of is now a part of one of my BIGGEST passions. T-Pain is in Toledo and that reminds me of my of my first time here. When did you, or when do you get the Sunday Scaries? I'm totally in if this is actually a new food trend on Tik Tok. 54 year old you will be very upset with 24 year old you. Why someone I revere, has come to sound like a grumpy old man.  

The ladies from the East Toledo Family Center return. They've been up to A LOT. A brand new mural thanks to the same artist who did the Glass City Riverwall. This weekend is their Nickel Dash, which is the only 5k on the Eastside. And then there's fall and early winter activities! Before that, a poignant, accurate portrayal of death.

Inclusive playgrounds. We have one. in Perrysburg, with another soon to be completed at Carter Park in BG.  I've called them, THE WICHMAN. As in Ryan Wichman, one of WTOL's meteorologists.  Ryan's been THE catalyst behind these playgrounds coming to life. But why? Grant. Grant is the reason why. Who is Grant? What will winter be like? Why does he like severe weather? What time does he wake up? Which extreme weather does he prefer? Most of these questions will be answered on today's episode.

You've probably heard there is more interest in union than there's been in decades. Workers want to work, but for better wages, and better treatment. Whether Erika wins on November 8th or not, as a union advocate, that's what she aims to accomplish. I'm glad, even with all my pushback, she knows I'm on her team and proworker. I hope you enjoy our conversation. I've come to consider Erika a friend!

Solo today, so you get the song I wanted for the Friday intro. Galvanize! I was a little upset at myself the other night after I was right behind an accident. Let me run it by you. Ah ha! I was right. But it's in an unfortunate situation. There are few things I am more reticent to scrutinize than someone who says 'I have a mental health issue.' After some new info that came out this week, it turns out my suspicions - they brought it entirely on themselves - were as accurate as his jump shots are inaccurate! The future (the present) is awesome! That's why yesterday I saw elastic waist band DRESS PANTS!

Another time I get to preach YOU CAN'T RUN FROM YOUR DNA. We're all so similar some of us are just more attractive and/or have more money.  This nuisance is coming my way on September 30th. I try not to be too broad or general. IE - ONLY IN TOLEDO. In this case, to defend us, the Hens and Walleye(s), my broad brush will be the same one that painted those silos.  More Mike Flanagan! F yeah! When you start a business, do your research. Like real REAL research. It's expensive, but possibly less expensive then closing your business.

Issue 3 was up for a vote in the spring in Lucas County. It's renewal ensured millions of dollars will continue to go programs like the one you're going to hear about here from Carol Conlan.  Let's not just cast people away behind bars, or worse, when we have compassionate people like Carol and the services she and others can provide to rebuild people and their lives.

The Blade's Mary Bilyeu is on for her monthly visit. I asked her to think up some ways you/we/I can shave some dollars off of our grocery bills.  She's also one of the people VERY excited for the departed Queen's proceedings this coming Monday.  Mary is integral part of our small Jewish community here. She's not Jewish. But she has received what I'd call the highest Honorary Jew honor one can.  But first, CANDY CORN!

Some things to hit before get to a frequent guest on the pod, Megan Scott from AFSP.  My greatest puzzle yet! It's been five years since I had the fortune to give a TED Talk. I may be HERE without it, but it did so much for me.  The Britney meltdown continues. So, so does my I TOLD YOU SO.  Don't demonize people who want to work work work work.  We're rebuilding infrastructure for so roads are safer for bikes and pedestrians when we could just do this...

I missed him during his last vacation but I finally was able to connect with long time Twitter friend, whom I came across because of his run for city council, Alfonso Narvaez. Alfonso has a fantastic perspective on the unending NOW HIRING climate, there's no bigger advocate for North Toledo, and you may have a very similar healthcare gripe as he does. 

Is Alex stressed for October 1st? Not really.  We are not talking about Thrones, but Alex IS enjoying Rings of Power. No spoilers, I don't think.  What's she going to do with her 'honeymoon' time off after the wedding? Sara Hegarty's kid saved the day at my event on Saturday.  Another coffee shop coming to Downtown Toledo. 

Our often nearly naked on IG friend Phillipe Taylor joins Bethany and I for on the ground info about London's mourning of the Queen. Annnnnnnd some place not mourning. Doing the opposite actually. What happened to axe throwing? Why's everything sour?

That odd title - trust me, it's weird - will make lots of sense after you listen. Apologies for missing a few days. Labor Day, then busy things at work, things were kinda slow anyway, and I've been feeling awful.
