God Is Holy in All of His Attributes - 081
20/08/2020 Duração: 23minABOUT GOD - PART 18 | The beginning, middle and end of the Bible record a song of Moses praising God for his holiness. Why his holiness over all his other attributes? Gary Wilkerson suggests it is because God’s holiness marries itself to all of his other attributes. We were built for wonder and there is no greater wonder than discovering the splendor, majesty, awesomeness, and holiness of God. God is holy in all of his attributes. The Holiness of God Will Transform Your Life - 080
13/08/2020 Duração: 24minABOUT GOD - PART 17 | Why talk about the holiness of God? How will that help us with finances, marriage struggles, or other issues we may face in life? Gary Wilkerson exhorts Christians to study and understand the holiness of God because it will transform your heart and greatly impact every area of your life. Our theology, or our understanding of God and his holiness, will greatly impact all areas of our life. Holiness is not something God tries to do or him behaving in a certain way. Holiness is who God is. It goes far beyond moral purity. God’s holiness reveals all of his other attributes in their greatest glory. At the cross, the justification of Christ on the cross imparted God’s holiness to those who believe. God doesn’t grow or shrink back in his holiness. He is fully, infinitely and perfectly holy at all times. Understanding and receiving the imparted holiness of God goes beyond behavior modification to transforming your heart’s motivations. Undone by the Holiness of God - 079
06/08/2020 Duração: 43minABOUT GOD - PART 16 | What is the holiness of God? Some might say it is his sinlessness. Others might say it is the standard by which we live our lives. Sam Storms joins Gary Wilkerson to discuss how the holiness of God is much more than we typically attribute to it. Key Points from the Podcast• God is altogether unique, greater than, different and other than us. • Many view holiness as sinlessness or right living, but it goes far beyond that. • A revelation of God’s holiness will show us our own sinfulness, frailty, ignorance, and dependency upon God. • People fall down on their faces in awe just being in the presence of angels who have been in the presence of God. • Understanding the holiness of God will give us a greater revelation of just how great God’s mercy is toward us, his unholy and undeserving creations. • Just like all of God’s other attributes, his holiness is infinite and immeasurable. Understanding God's Wrath and End Times Judgment - 078
30/07/2020 Duração: 55minThe doctrine of God’s wrath is not a popular topic in the church today. It is often seen in opposition to his love, but Gary Wilkerson and Keith Holloway explain how the wrath of God is actually married to his love and can be redemptive in its purpose. Key Points from the PodcastGod’s wrath is righteous, to be feared, consistent through both the Old and New Testaments, his love in action against sin, and satisfied in Christ. The wrath of God is very different than the human emotion of anger. God instructs us to be slow to be anger because he himself is longsuffering in executing his wrath. All have sinned and deserve the wrath of God, but God poured out his wrath on his Son so that we would be saved from eternal judgment through faith in Christ Jesus. There is a final day of judgment when God’s wrath will be poured out on all who are not followers of Christ. View full show notes: https://wcm.link/gwp78c Support this podcast

God and All His Ways Are Just - 071
11/06/2020 Duração: 33minABOUT GOD - PART 8 | Gary Wilkerson and Keith Holloway continue their conversation about the attributes of God and focus this week on the justice of God. • God’s acts of justice are an outflow of who he is—his justness. The foundation of God’s throne is justice and righteousness. • Whatever God wills to do is just, perfect and right. • Our perception and understanding of God’s justice will have a profound effect on our worship of and relationship with him. • Why is our tendency to accuse God of injustice when bad things happen in this world? • If we have an incorrect view of God’s justice, then we will have an incorrect view of sin and God’s mercy. • In the Greek and Hebrew, the word often translated as righteous can also mean justice. • We cannot diminish God’s wrath, anger and judgment in favor of his love, mercy and forgiveness. They are all equally important to our full understanding of God. View show notes (https://wcm.link/gwp71c) Support this podcast
