Donald Trump is mentally ill. Let’s diagnose him.
14/10/2019 Duração: 39minThis week, I talk to my therapist buddy Kirk Shepard, LPC, about Donald Trump. We'll discuss why therapists don't really want to speak up about diagnosing Trump and why it kinda feels wrong to do that. We'll chat about what mental health issues we think he could qualify for, what some of his unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaving are, and if we can feel any compassion for him when thinking about the trauma that he may have endured as a kid. Also, what if the Donald Trump walked into your office for therapy? Would you give him therapy? Where would you even start? Show notes at https://www.therapyden.com/saymoreaboutthat

07/10/2019 Duração: 54minToday, I talk Karel Chan, LPC, about how to be empowered in our single-hood. We chat about how to feel better when you're doing things on your own, how building a relationship with yourself is a great way to create secure attachments and how feeling like you're going to die at the end of a relationship is a very bad sign. Karel makes the case that being in a relationship doesn't automatically mean that things are better. And how that can be a really problematic belief. We talk about how social justice and cultural competency issues need to be more integrated into analysis. We discuss when analysis is a good fit for clients, why they're so obsessed with transference and so much more. Find a therapist at https://www.therapyden.com
