Today guest is the one and only...Dibi Fletcher! I was honored to sit down with Dibi in her office at the "Astro Deck" headquarters in San Clemente. Dibi is Surf Royalty and has been around the industry her entire life. Surrounded by boys and raising and fostering generations of talented athletes and artists. We sat down to talk to Dibi about her new book FLETCHER: A lifetime in surf. 50 years of epic stories of surf, art and life. The Fletcher family spans surfings golden years era to the present day. Todays guest is Corey Colapinto. Corey is a gifted surfer born and bread in San Clemente California. Kin to the Colapinto family surf legacy. Corey opted out of the short board completion side of surfing unlike his cousins Griffen and Crosby. Corey grew up surfing down at San Onofre, and that's where he ended up gravitating towards the long boarding scene. These days you can catch Corey styling out on the waves, dazzling down the line on all types of surf craft. He's especially sick on the longboard. Corey is a sweet young man who has tones of talents. Starting off in local collage Radio and expanding to 91X where he rocked the air waves for San Diego. He eventually moved around from gig to gig where he landed a hit morning show with his friend Meryl Klemow on Adult Hits-Rock KFMB-FM (100.7) San Diego. Chris was working there and was ambushed from the company and they turned on him...those evil bastards eventually forced him out and he left. It seems we are moving PAST the Quarantine effort. It seems we are moving PAST the Wave we were warned about. We are moving PAST the Pandemic.  As we emerge from our shelter into this brave new world its safe to say the people are growing restless. So my new series is called P.A.S.T. ( Post Apacolypse Surf Talk) which will be the new series until we are completely PAST this. The new show will just be checking in with Surfers in the community to see how they are moving PAST things and how the are adjusting to the new reality. Todays guest is Laguna Beach's very own Jeff Booth.  Boothy is an ex-pro surfer from the ASP World Tour.  Boothy was one of surfings biggest stars as the world tour shifted into more quality waves in epic locations (this was coined the "dream tour").  Boothy started surfing at age 8 and soon began competing in the NSSA.  Jeff would soon become a very young rising star.  He finished 2nd place at the world amateur surfing championships in 1984.  Jeff would go on to finish again in second place in the Mens division in 1986.  Then in 1988 he joined the ASP World Tour earning the title of "Rookie of the Year".  He was on the Quicksliver surf team with surf legends Kelly Slater and Tom Carroll.  He lived a low profile and earned the title of hard charging, rail surfing traditionalist. While he was on the tour he maintained his rankings in the TOP 10.  While on tour, Booth was no stranger to controversy and ego-centric surfers.  He once wrote a very controversial letter to Surfer Magazine and punched a Hawaiian surf

Sly Dawg aka Steven Chew is a born and bread Surf Core human from Laguna Beach California. Sly is one of the coolest characters around and it was an honor to have him back on the Show. Growing up in Laguna Beach, Sly has always been a surf legend. Terry will invite you into the shaping bay for some surf conversation as people continuously come in and out of his little surf shop located in the heart of the San Clemente Surf Ghetto. Terry shapes all types of surfboards...from his popular fish to the trendy Mid-Lengths...to Classic Longboards to high performance shortboards. Terry say's..."its really cool, that my older clients have been riding my custom longboards for years, now their kids are showing up wanting custom shortboards. Terry can shape anything. S.O.N.G.S. is a Nuclear Power Plant. Sano is a surfing beach. San Onofre is a Southern California State Beach located in North San Diego on Camp Pendleton Military Base. Sano is one of the most iconic Longboarding breaks in the world. It's famous, not just for its gentel waves and aloha spirit but for it's lifestyle. Parking on the beach, old cars, the bonfires, bbq's, volleyball, surfing, and all types of surfing etc. To embrace the true essence of Sano is to long for yesteryear. It might be the last sacrid place on earth. It's special, and if you know, you know... the vibes down at Sano can be legendary.
