Impacts From Sally Expected To Reach The Northern Gulf Coast Later Today - Sally is expected to intensify to a hurricane by tonight and make landfall in the hurricane warning area on Tuesday. Hurricane warnings extend from Morgan City, Louisiana, to the Mississippi/Alabama border. Hurricane and Storm Surge Watches have been issued from southeastern Louisiana to the Alabama coast. Flash flooding is also likely with 6 to 12 inches and locally 18 inches. 09/09/2020 Duração: 04minWidespread weather impacts expected across the Western to Central U.S. over the next two days. - An upper-level low will move slowly across the Four Corners region today as south-southwesterly mid-level flow remains over the southern Plains. At the surface, a cold front will advance southeastward across the western Texas Hill Country, north Texas and southeast Oklahoma. Thunderstorm development will be likely along parts of the front by afternoon. Although moderate instability may develop in parts of central and north Texas this afternoon, deep-layer shear will be relatively weak. This is expected to keep any storms that develop sub-severe late this afternoon and early evening.
