On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) breaks down the Panthers' 4-3 win over the Boston Bruins. Florida came in once again going 11F-7D with Uvis Balinskis taking the fourth line winger spot, and Paul Maurice telling the media that Matthew Tkachuk will be out at least until 10/22. Florida went back to the scene of the crime where they clinched both of their last two postseason series against Boston, and it was your typical matchup of physicality and bad blood between the two teams. After Boston took the early lead, the Panthers responded less than two minutes later when Anton Lundell scored while the teams were 4-on-4 shortly after an offensive zone draw. The game got tense after AJ Greer delivered a hit on David Pastrnak that went uncalled, where the Bruins lost their composure quite a few times (with McAvoy's crosscheck on Verhaeghe and Pastrnak's interference on Reinhart). Panthers were able to convert on the power play five seconds into the man advantage

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to break down the Panthers 5-2 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Sabres, where they were without Aleksander Barkov (week-to-week) and Matthew Tkachuk (illness), and having to roll 11F-7D on the night. In addition, Spencer Knight played his first NHL since February 18th, 2024, his first performance back was shaky to say the least. The best part about a shaky outing, is the fact that Spencer is likely to be back between the pipes soon as the Cats will have a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday, so it will be an opportunity for Knight to bounce back. The Cats roll into Monday's game against the Bruins, who they just saw six days prior. It'll be the Panthers' fourth straight division matchup to start the year, where they visit the place that they've found a lot of success in recently, including two series clinching games in the last two postseasons. The Panthers were shot out of a cannon as they had a multi-goal lead in the first period, which the second line led by Sam Bennett truly set the tone. The Panthers also responded quickly after giving up a shorty, with a shorty themselves, after an incredible save by Sergei Bobrovsky on Brad Marchand, Sam Reinhart scored on an unreal way getting around Bruins Defenseman Charlie McAvoy to beat Joonas Korpisalo on the far side to extend their lead to two once again.
