Derby Day FC

This week we preview the Open Cup final where the Red Bulls will play Sporting Kansas City. We also recap last week's games when City took on Colorado and the Red Bulls took on Philadelphia.

After the international break, no one is convinced with the team we have going forward. After a loss and a tie, our nation's qualification is now in question.

There were a few matches last week, but none as import as the final regular season match of the year. With a 1-1 draw, it's the first ever tie in the Hudson Derby.

The third derby match of the season, second in MLS has passed and City was victorious once again. It would be all gloom for Red Bulls fans if not for their Open Cup Semi-Final victory of FC Cincinnati, which Tariq was in attendance for.

The Gold Cup is upon us and it's time to commiserate about the US Men's National Team. At least we can live in the make-believe land of transfer rumors.

The Red Bulls were victorious in the US Open Cup version of the Hudson Derby, so now we're on to the MLS version. Both teams meet up this Saturday.

We recap the US Men's National Team's World Cup qualifier against Trinidad and Tobago, as well some world and team news. But all the attention must go to next week's US Open Cup match against NYRB vs NYCFC!

Well the Red Bulls are not at their best and neither are the Cosmos. At least the blue side of the city can be happy.

After being off last week, we come back covering the last two matches in MLS, as well as the NASL, USL, and NWSL.

It was a pretty dismal weekend for New York soccer. The only bright spot was the Cosmos beating Miami FC 2-0. The other three clubs all lost.

The United States beat Honduras 6-0 in Arena's first competitive game back. Pulisic and Dempsey are working beautifully off each other. Who isn't working as well are the Red Bulls. However, City is riding strong.

New York City FC tied Montreal and the Red Bulls lost to defending champions Seattle. Now we can look forward to the international break. (No one looks forward to the international break.)

Kind of a short week since only MLS is currently playing. We saw a win from both the Red Bulls and City.

The Red Bulls didn't have the best of times in the Champions League. However, they did rebound in the first game of the season in MLS, unlike NYCFC. We also talk about Alexi Lalas' comments about US Soccer's new rule about taking a knee during the national anthem.

We had a preseason derby match in the desert of Tuscon, AZ. The Red Bulls Sporting Director Ali Curtis is missing and City has a new DP.

A lot has happened since we last podded, both in the world of soccer and the world of life. We dive into some of the off-season stories with the teams as well as our own.

Both the Red Bulls and City lost the first leg of their playoff series, so we both go into a home second leg needing goals. The Cosmos finished out their regular season well and head into The Championship playoffs this coming weekend. We recap the games from October 26th - November 3rd.

Both clubs won on Decision Day and finish in the top of the East. Now we look forward to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, and hopefully (hopefully!) a Hudson Derby Eastern Conference Final! We recap the games from October 19th - 26th.

Red Bulls won, City lost, and Toronto FC lost, which means the Red Bulls are going to finish atop the Eastern Conference. This weekend is the last game of the regular season and there is still a lot to play for. We recap the games from October 14th - 18th.
