AIA Georgia's Equity in Architecture invites Odetta MacLeish-White (Transformation Alliance), Donell Woodson (Lupton Center), and Nathaniel Smith (Partnership for Southern Equity) for a holistic conversation on reparative practice.

AIA Georgia and AIA Atlanta joined forces to host a special forum and breakfast with the candidates from Georgia’s Secretary of State race—an election that will profoundly affect the architecture profession. AIA Georgia President and NCARB Architect Licensing Advisor Kathryn Bedette, AIA served as moderator with introductions by Equity in Architecture's Ann Rogers. The Georgia Primary on May 22, resulted in former U.S. Congressman John Barrow securing the Democratic nomination, while Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle (Alpharetta) and State Representative Brad Raffensberger (Johns Creek) will have a runoff on July 24, for the Republican nomination. All made themselves available for the forum on June 28th.

Equity in Architecture (EQiA) met at the Ellis Hotel in downtown Atlanta on October 19, 2017 to hear from AIA National’s Diversity + Inclusion team and a panel of dynamic women on creating a diverse workplace with equitable practices, that improves firm culture for all in the field

Vision for Atlanta is an annual panel discussion that unites the city’s leading experts on community, planning and real estate development. Moderated by award-winning journalist Maria Saporta, the 2017 panel will comprise candidates from Atlanta’s 2017 mayoral race. AIA Atlanta hosted the Vision for Atlanta 2016 panel discussion bringing together some of Atlanta’s leading experts on community, planning and real estate development. Vision for Atlanta highlights the opportunities and challenges for revitalizing communities, creating innovative affordable housing and developing high-quality projects around Atlanta, as well as the designs that lead to success. This year's panel was moderated by Creative Loafing editor Thomas Wheatley, with the panel featuring prominent local leaders including Tim Keane, Mary Norwood, Dawn Luke and Egbert Perry.

UPDATE: Ryan Taylor attended the AIA Georgia Board Meeting on October 27, 2015. Ryan is the current Secretary of the State Codes Advisory Committee in Georgia.
