Episode 004 Public Safety Dive Pre-Planning Where to find me www.engine1podcast.com www.facebook.com/engine1podcast @engine1podcast Email: captain@engine1podcast.com So this week I invite you to take a look at your public safety dive team, regardless of what kind it is. Police, Fire, EMS, Paid , Volunteer. Our goal should  always be to get our people home safe. SEGMENT 1 This segment shows the problems associated with going in cold with no plan. • Basic Foam Operations - E1P#003

    15/06/2016 Duração: 17min

LODD Before I start this episode I want to acknowledge the LODD for 28 year old Sherrill's Ford Fire Captain Bradley Long. Captain Long died on June 6, 2016 while trying to save a drowning victim. He and two other firefighters has an in water emergency with the other two divers being able to get to the surface. Captain Long died from his emergency, while the other two were admitted to the hospital but expected to recover. My thoughts and prayers go ouot to Captain Long, his family and his brother and sister firefighters. As a dive medic I know how dangerous these missions on and we need to work and train everyday to make sure these problems are sorted out so they don't happen again. There are lots of rumors out there as to the cause, but rather than extend those rumors I prefer to remember Captain Long now and we can revisit the events once the investigation is over. Thank you.   Basic Foam Operations for Class B Incidents Is your department ready for a tanker on fire? Most departments lack the proper am
