Advocating for Medical Research Funding
18/02/2010In October, I joined other academic medicine leaders at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, to thank the Obama Administration, Congress and the American taxpayers for the much-needed $10.4 billion in medical research funding included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

What's on My Mind - April 2009
18/02/2010What’s on my mind this month is the human embryonic stem cell research. In the near future, President Barack Obama is widely expected to lift the ban on federal funding for human embryonic stem cell research, which has been in place since 2001 and has limited federal funding to only 21 existing lines.
