Sinopse

Telling Seattle stories...long form interviews with the creators, innovators and legends of our Seattle Hip-Hop community. With the pioneering Seattle 2nd wave hip-hop group Tribal Productions our home base, the Do The Math Podcast with Deven Morgan aims primarily to shed light on a often forgotten period of Seattle's hip-hop history - after Sir Mix-A-Lot and before Macklemore. This critical time produced stacks upon stacks of beautiful music that was criminally under appreciated - both because of a lack of local avenues for exposure in a pre-internet era and also because these artists arose in the shadow of the grunge era. Using the podcast format to allow these artists tell their own stories, the Do The Math podcast strives to provide a venue to tell the world that Seattle has / is / will continue producing the absolute freshest and groundbreaking styles. The world just needs to pay attention.
