Collie Turner is the Head of Inspiration and partner at TAPP Network, a digital marketing agency and creative suite for nonprofits. She is also the founder of Heroic Gardens, a new nonprofit initiative to create gardens for Veterans to maintain - which she hopes will be an economic vehicle, providing work to our Veterans. Krystal J. Brumfield is the President and CEO of Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), a nonprofit dedicated to advance the full participation of minorities and women in employment and contracting opportunities throughout the aviation and aerospace industries. AMAC provides advisory and resource support to organizations in aviation as well as individuals working in or trying to enter aviation. Krystal speaks about her unusual path to AMAC from an Accounting undergrad, to a law degree, to a specialization in taxation. This week we have a very special guest! Sihah Waris is in a fellowship with The Enterprise Center and she is here all the way from Islamabad, Pakistan. Sihah owns and operates two IT businesses. Solugix is an IT service and web-design suite for small-to-midsize enterprises, and Rise Mom provides a video feed for working mothers to check on their young children at daycare throughout the day and also provides a community for these mothers. Rise Mom has partnered both with businesses and daycares to market their services.Sihah feels very strongly that life is a journey and you need to keep moving forward and achieving as much as you can. Yasmine Mustafa is the co-founder and CEO of ROAR for Good, an awareness and wearable-tech company that is working to reduce violence against women with their amazing, Athena product. She has one of the most incredible stories we've heard thus far. Yasmine is Palestinean, and spent her childhood in Kuwait, her birthplace. Yasmine visited America for the first time as a young girl. While here, her younger brother was born. A few weeks later, after Yasmine had returned to Kuwait, Saddam Hussein invaded the country and a group of armed men from the US Embassy came to retrieve her family. (Because her brother was born on American soil, he is a citizen) She was undocumented and spoke no English, but loved learning.
