With the Eagles W over the Commanders, Joe Giglio thinks the Eagles are starting to erase the doubt. Hugh Douglas and Kyle Quinn are loving the defense- namely Quinyon Mitchell and Jalen Carter. The Eagles won a huge divisional game last night against the Commanders. Joe Giglio thinks the Eagles are starting to erase the doubt. The defense shined and Hugh Douglas and Kyle Quinn are on-board with Vic Fangio’s plan. However, there are still some question marks next to Jalen Hurt’s name.

Merrill Reese joins the Midday show and highlights the Eagles defense, guys like Jalen Carter and Quinyon Mitchell. The defense is playing well, but is Jalen Hurts holding the offense back from their full potential? After concussion concerns, Jalen Hurts “beat” concussion protocol mid-game. After the game, he sounded like he might be concussed though. A caller makes the Jared Goff comparison- are the Eagles chasing the Lions down?

The Midday team, after a huge Eagles win last night, decides some of the takes they have need to be put to rest. Joe and Hugh potentially surrender two of their takes, which to some may seem outrageous. The Eagles being 8-2 might prove Joe and Hugh wrong.

Do the Eagles have a kicker problem right now? The Midday team breaks down Jake Elliott's stats for this year and they are sub-par, especially for the standard he set. Do the Eagles need to bring in a kicker to create some competition and get Jake Elliott to focus? Kyle Quinn says this situation is a little bit worrying because a kicker can sink your season. Is the Midday team being too harsh towards Jake Elliott?

Saquon Barkley is the man. Joe points out that so far this year, Saquon is performing better than Christian McCaffery did last season. The Midday team hears and understands the concerns surrounding Jalen Hurts, and they have their reservations too. But this Eagles team is moving in a good direction despite the question marks surrounding Jalen Hurts.

The Midday is a little worried about Jalen Hurts’ head. He went into the blue tent at one point, but was cleared. After the game Hurts said he “beat the concussion protocol” and then had an interesting interview after the game. He might need to be monitored over the next few days. Howie Roseman deserves some credit for building this team. Jared Goff is not unflappable- are the Eagles on a collision course with the Lions?

There is tons of excitement after the Eagles defeat the Commanders, however… Jalen Hurts didn’t look great. The Eagles have a few months to get Jalen Hurts right. Sirianni was able to talk his way out of a Jalen Hurts question, but the Midday team still has a question mark next to his name. While the passing game might be looking great, the run game plugged away and performed.
