Washburn Radio (KRWU) is a noncommercial college radio station for Washburn University founded in 2017 in Topeka, Kansas. The staff of students and alumni volunteers is dedicated to bringing the community together for local and unique music and talkshows. Wellman recalls a country with two different perspectives of hope and despair, coming from a people eyewitness to ongoing armed conflict between their government and paramilitary groups for the last 60 years. Despite this, Wellman visited with communities there making efforts to rebuild and forgive.
