Northern Dreamers

This week the Northern Dreamers talk all about the Kids TV shows we grew up, everything from finding out the truth about Chuckies mum in Rugrats, Ash letting Butterfree go and watching Fun House just for the Twins. We discuss how these shows wouldn't make it today and how something like Ren and Stimpy even made it to TV. This week Glen hosts with special guest Andy from Do What Makes You Disney Podcast 

This week the team talk Marvel V DC, we look at what makes each of the rivals so special and what we love from each and the fact you can love both sides. We talk the films and Tv shows.  We look at Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and discuss how we want him back alongside Ryan Reynolds, we Look at Green Arrow and the Arrowverse and also talk Tom Hardy as Bane and Venom. We also name drop all our celebrity listeners to show. This weeks host is Little Dave

This week the guys talk gaming. We talk about our new gaming show coming end of June, we talk our very first games we played and got us into gaming. We discuss about the different beat em ups we loved, spamming the same buttons to win a match, we talk all about DOA and be able to turn that jiggle up to 99. We look at Final fantasy and the impact it's had on our lives and we talk Fifa very very briefly. This weeks Glen takes back the reigns of hosting.

This week the guys talk food, They talk go to subways, Mad max style trips to KFC, surprise whole chickens and double dipping a certain falic body part in food at an all you can eat buffet. Dave tells how he took a car door off, slept in Adams dirty laundry, Calumn tells us about his girthy big boy and Glen tries to convince everyone that there should not be a netflix special about him. This weeks host is Adam.

This week we take a look at the paranormal, we look into East and West Ghost stories. We discuss about all different stories from things like the grudge, poltergeists and a ghost that offers you blue or red toilet roll. We discuss if we believe in ghosts and other paranormal events and discuss our upcoming Film.  This weeks host is Big Dave.

This week the Northern Dreamers are dwindling in numbers, Glen, Big Dave and Calumn. A new twist to the show each member of the team now takes the show and talks about their selected subject. This week Calumn talks all about collecting, we discuss all the things we have collected, why we collect and the strangest things we have collected over the years. We talk collecting cans, pogs, kinder eggs balls plus many more. We talk how anime has helped grow our friendship and how collecting is more than just a single person hobby.

This week the Northern Dreamers get real, we talk mental health, healthy living and Hobbies and how they help with our mental health. Not just our own but how other people must be feeling. We still try and keep it funny but we also want people to understand, you are not alone, we will always listen if you need to talk. Glen Opens up about being in an abusive relationship and Adam opens up about someone who transitioned and how that person was feeling about telling him about it. We do open up a lot in this episode and hope it helps others talk about their mental health with their friends as they will always be there. 

This week the Northern Dreamers talk technology and take you on a nostalgia trip through the words where we discuss how we as youngsters found our porn in the forest, how buying a Nuts magazine and  pack of football stickers was the norm.  We also look at how technology has changed over the years from computers, games, phones and even medication and the advancement in prosthetics limbs and how we may be able to get a new face after being shot with a shotgun.   This weeks guest is Chris Fleming 

This week the team talk all about going to space and space travel. They look at the giant leaps we have taken from just landing on the moon to hopefully one setting up a base on Mars. They discuss the most recent Mars rover and what to expect from that and if they were sent to Mars alone what type of biscuits would they take to last forever. They also look at the declining sperm rate within males and how the sperm count in men is declining and what you can do with a Jam Jar to save to human race.  Alot happened in this week's episode. We discuss our love for Cult classic horror films and take a look back at some of the shows we use to watch and how all the things we loved growing up is making a come. Take a nostalgia trip with us as we invite a friend and fellow film lover and maker onto the show Chris Fleming. The man has worked in the film industry and has lot to say about movies today and how they have changed. This week the boys talk getting older again, they discuss what's making them feel old, where our parents were in their life at our age and reminisce about the old days in Cinemas with only one screen. So after some time we are back, so we are calling this season 2. We had to talk about the elephant in the room, covid yes its been done by everyone who does a podcast but I bet they don't take the piss the way we do. We chat with our friend and co host who has worked on the front line for the NHS during the times of covid. We take a stab at those anti vaxxers, anti maskers and pretty much bundle them in with flat earthers. We take an odd turn when we discussed gourmet meals, KFC and burger king vouchers. Also hear where we have been for almost two years and hear about our plans for the Northern Dreamers Branding as we become Northern Dreamers Entertainment. A little warning, we are not professionals, we do no research for our show, we are just a few friends who have a drink and chat, like a support group but we record it. If you disagree with anything we are saying that's fine, everyone is entitled to an opinion. We take the mick out of each because we can. We are life long friends, we may say things people

This week we discuss Atlantis, the myth, the stories, who was searching for it, the stories behind it. We ask the questions about the Atlantean race, were they Aryan Race that Hitler was searching for? Is Atlantis a giant spaceship with green men with green cocks? Was King Midas from Atlantis?  We also discuss Pompeii and the remains of a dude cracking one dubbing it the first danger wank. This week, for the first time ever, we have a full roster of hosts, Glen, Omer, little Dave, Steven, Big Dave and our special returning guest host Calumn. We discuss the theories behind the switcharoo of the Titanic. We ask the questions was it really the Titanic or its sister ship the Olympic? What was the final song played as the ship went down, what our words would have been if we were on the ship after it had been struck and was Spongebob really to blame for the ship going down. This Northern Dreamers talk aliens once again, this time how they have influenced us from behind the scenes. From lost civilisations, Steve Jobs, The government and the new picture of a Black hole. We are still asking the questions but have no answers, we find it infuriating that we don't know, will we ever get the answers we want or will never know the truth. Do I lay awake in bed at night shouting, "Why Don't I Have The Answers?"

This week we talk religion. All different religions, gods and some geezer knocking about called Jesus. We have taken a little break from the main show for the next two weeks while we do a bit of a restructure on the show and find a way to keep pour show entertaining and fun for you our listeners.  

Aliens. Do they exist, are they among us? Did they help us build us build our civilisation? Are we ourselves aliens or did they come to earth and create schemes to get our gold? So many questions yet no answers. This week we talk Aliens with our special guest Calumn once again. Steven discusses if we are a plague on our planet, Omer talks nonsense as usual and Dave texts a girl while Glen does his best to keep to conversation on topic.

This week we talk all about Creatures of Urban Myths,  Loch Ness monster, Bigfoot, Chupacabra and the release of the Kraken. We take a drunken look at the strange and wonderful creatures, we chat about the big one, Bigfoots love for the Bee Gees plus many other things. We did have a few technical difficulties with the audio set up this week, we get a bit of crackle on one of the mics but we have hopefully fixed this issue for future podcasts. Calumn is our special guest this week, he has been mentioned a few times on the show, we have done a show with him but it is exclusive to our patreon.

This week the Northern Dreamers talk all about the strange shit that happens, from strange lights in the woods, lights shining through the windows on the third floor and a ghost woman in the bath. We try to look at reasonable resolution as to what ghost are. Could they be alternate realities bleeding through or could they be echoes through time. Hell we aren't scientists we are just three drunk dudes in a studio.
