Max Scherzer was dominant over eight innings, Jayson Werth homered, Bryce Harper had a two-RBI double in the eighth and the Washington Nationals beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-0. 

Washington’s Nationals dropped their fourth straight game overall and the third straight to the Baltimore Orioles, 10-8 in the nation’s capital. Tanner Roark struggled. The Nationals rallied late with a grand slam and RBI double in the ninth making it closer than it appeared but lost in the end. With Stephen Strasburg placed on the 15-day DL with a sore right elbow, AJ Cole gave the Washignton Nationals seven good innings but the Nats fell to the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 at Orioles Park at Camden Yards

A half-inning after the Washington Nationals blew a 6-3 lead in the eighth, Clint Robinson come through with a two-out single in the ninth to beat the Atlanta Braves, 7-6 final. Mark Melancon came on to close it out and got the job done and the Nats beat their NL East rivals for the 10th time in 11 games this season, improving to 72-49 overall on the with their second straight win in Turner Field. Reynaldo Lopez struck out 11 batters in seven innings as the Washington Nationals improved to 9-1 against the Atlanta Braves this season with an 8-2 win tonight in Turner Field. It was closer than it seemed in the end, with a late-game blow-up by the Braves' bullpen padding the Nats' lead. Washington improved to 71-49 on the year with the win and Lopez earned his second straight win over the Nationals' NL East rivals from Atlanta. Three more to come in Turner Field...

Washington dropped two of three in Coors Field in Colorado, taking the series opener but losing the second and third games of three-game set with the Rockies. Nationals' starter Stephen Strasburg had his worst start in the majors, giving up nine hits, three walks and nine runs in just 1 2/3 IP, losing for the third time in a row. With the loss, the Nationals fell to 70-49 on the year as they head to Atlanta to start a four-game set with the Braves.

Wilson Ramos came up big with a sixth inning home run off Colorado Rockies' lefty Jorge De La Rosa that tied things up at 4-4 and Bryce Harper came through with an RBI double an inning later to put the Washington Nationals ahead in what ended up a 5-4 win in the series opener in Coors Field. Washington's bullpen picked Max Scherzer up after the right-hander struggled and was out after throwing 97 pitches in just four innings pitched. With the win, the Nats improved to 70-47 with two more to play in Denver, Colorado. 

Tanner Roark won his fourth straight outing and his 13th of the year as the Washington Nationals beat the Atlanta Braves 9-1 to take 2 of 3 in D.C. Roark went seven strong on 99 pitches and the Nats got hits from 7 of 8 position players as they knocked Braves' right-hander Tyrell Jenkins out early and cruised to a win that left them 69-47 in 2016 as they head out on the road to Colorado for a three-game set with the Rockies.

Lopez earned his first MLB win. Mark Melancon had to come on to close it out after the Braves threatened in the ninth. Trea Turner had a big day on the offensive end, finishing a double short of a cycle and the Nationals improved to 68-47 on the season with one more to play with the Braves tomorrow. 

Atlanta’s Braves knocked Washington Nationals’ righty Stephen Strasburg out early and snapped a 14-game losing streak in Nationals Park with an 8-5 win in the series opener. Mike Foltyneqwicz put together a solid start and the Braves' relievers held on for the first win in D.C. since September 2014. Nationals now 67-47 with two more to play in the nation's capital this weekend. 

Washington's Nationals improved to 67-46 with a 7-4 win over the Cleveland Indians this afternoon in the nation's capital. Gio Gonzalez battled in a less-than-stellar outing, but he received run support after giving up a couple leads and the Nats' bullpen locked down the win with Dusty Baker mixing and matching to get it done. The Nationals have an off day tomorrow before they start a three-game set with their divisional rivals from Atlanta on Friday night in Nationals Park when Stephen Strasburg takes on the Braves.

Trevor Bauer outdueled Max Scherzer, who flirted with a no-hitter again tonight, and the Cleveland Indians beat the Washington Nationals, 3-1 in the nation’s capital. It was a tough way for things to go for Scherzer, who struck out 10 and passed 200 strikeouts on the season for the fifth straight season. Bauer was solid, however, after struggling in his last five starts before tonight and the Indians took the series opener like they did last week in Ohio. Nats now 66-46

Tanner Roark held the San Francisco Giants off the board through seven innings and Wilson Ramos put the Washington Nationals ahead with a solo home run to right in the bottom of the inning. The one run held up when Nats' relievers Shawn Kelley and Mark Melancon shut the Giants down in the seventh and eighth innings, respectively. Final score: 1-0 Nats. Nationals take 2 of 3 and improve to 66-45 on the year with a day off tomorrow before two with Cleveland.

Gio Gonzalez made one mistake and gave up one run on two hits in what ended up a 5-1 win over the San Francisco Giants for the Washington Nationals and their lefty. The Nationals got home runs from Trea Turner (No. 2) and Wilson Ramos (career-high No.17) and cruised to a win in the series opener in D.C. Tomorrow afternoon it's going to be Stephen Strasburg taking on Matt Cain in the second of three in the nation's capital. Nats now 65-44.

Washington’s Nationals knocked Arizona Diamondbacks’ starter Archie Bradley around and cruised to a 14-1 win as Stephen Strasburg improved to (W, 15-1) on the season in the series opener in Chase Field. The Nats collected a season-high 19 hits and won their 62nd game of the year, improving to 62-44. Trea Turner, Daniel Murphy, Anthony Rendon, Wilson Ramos and Clint Robinson all had multi-hit games in the desert and Mark Melancon made his Nats debut, striking out two in an 11-pitch ninth. Two more in AZ over the next two nights.

San Francisco Giants’ righty Matt Cain held the Washington Nationals hitless though five, and the Giants’ pen allowed just one earned run in four innings in what ended up a 3-1 win. Gio Gonzalez was not particularly sharp, but the two runs that scored when he was on the mound were the result of errors. Washington settled for a split of the four-game set in AT&T Park, and they head off to Arizona for a three-game set with the Arizona Diamondbacks with a 61-44 record on the year. 

With the score 4-1 Washington in the eighth, the San Francisco Giants loaded the bases with no one out before Brandon Crawford grounded into the first 3-3-5 triple play in MLB history. No really. You never know what you'll see when you tune in for baseball. Max Scherzer put together another impressive start and the Nats made major league history in AT&T Park on the way to their second-straight win over the Giants. 61-42 on the year after the win. 

Tanner Roark gave up just one run in seven innings, but the Washington Nationals' bullpen made it interesting again as Jonathan Papelbon gave up a one-out single and a walk and a run scored before Oliver Perez and Shawn Kelley combined to shut the San Francisco Giants' rally down in what ended up a 4-2 win. Roark got the curly-W (10-6) and the Nationals improved to 60-42 on the year with three more to play in AT&T Park this weekend.
