Zac Hendrix – A Firefighter making a Change

He shares his fitness journey that began with a firefighting call. On this particular call he lost his breath within a couple minutes. He knew that one of the main leading causes of death for firefighters was cardiac arrest; he knew that changes needed to happen. Over the past few years he has lost 90lbs and competed in last years BCS Classic competition. He maintains consistency with his wife in working out. Cliff Latham - Pain over Pleasure

Kyla and Robby - Sticking to the Plan
06/05/2020 Duração: 29minKyla and Robby started the 6 Week Challenge almost two months ago. They didn’t allow the obstacles and changes that have happened recently to deter them. During the 6 Week Challenge they worked together as a couple and encouraged one another. They have successfully completed the 6 Week Challenge and reached their goals. Kyla lost 11.2lbs and 3.7%; while Robby cut 17lbs and 6.1% body fat. Both are great examples of sticking to a plan during school, work, and obstacles in daily life during the pandemic. It has helped her take care of her God-given body and enabled her to exercise more discipline in other faucets of her life. Danielle has done an amazing job prioritizing fitness during this time of social distancing and working out at home. She is achieving a great feat, she is doing 100 burpees a day in addition to her regular workout. She has chosen her least favorite exercise and is slowly perfecting it. She is an inspiration to many and showing that even the most difficult things for us personally can become our strengths.

Larry Hollingsworth - It's Never Too Late
22/04/2020 Duração: 36minLarry Hollingsworth, is 53 years old. Today he shares his incredible journey of juggling the ebbs and flows of life and working towards progressing in physical fitness. Larry began his fitness feats in 2005 till 2007; during which he lost an incredible 100lbs (beginning at four hundred pounds and then cutting down to 295lbs). After suffering a terrible car crash he was thrown off kilter for almost thirteen years. Just a few months ago Larry clicked on a weekly BoomFit newsletter email, met with Charlie, then began his adventure back. He successfully lost 24lbs on the 6-Week Challenge and since has continued to shave off weight. He is a wonderful example that anyone can bounce back from years of being out of habit, along with showing the importance of maintaining the habit to ensure time doesn’t slip away.

Andrew Loring - Perspective on Fitness

Working out gives him fuel for the day. It motivates him and gives him clarity. His words exactly are, “Working out gives me what I need to exist on a daily basis.” His perspective is powerful. Tyler Stillwell - Conviction to CrossFit
30/03/2020 Duração: 56minTyler Stillwell, 27, shares his incredible fitness journey on the podcast today. Tyler knows what it feels like to weigh 500 pounds. From an early age he knew he wanted a family, he wanted kids and has had a deep conviction that he did not want his parents to have to bury him so he started his weight loss journey. As a freshman in high school Tyler weighed 324 ponds then by the time he graduated he weighed 478.8. In the next three years he worked with a personal trainer and got down to 232 pounds. Then life circumstances occurred and he got back up to 377 pounds in the next 2-3 years. Today Tyler weighs 241 pounds. His story is powerful. It is a great reminder that no one can lose weight for you. It has to be your decision. You will be amazed and inspired by his fitness journey. Enjoy!
