Rich Froning - Faith, Family & Fitness
18/09/2019 Duração: 26minRich Froning came to College Station last week for the BCS Classic. He sat down with Charlie for a Q&A about faith, family and fitness. In the interview Rich talks about how getting 2nd place at the CrossFit Games in 2010 was a catalyst for his faith. It was after that when he got baptized and got the tattoo of Galatians 6:14 on his side. He went on to win the CrossFit Games four years in a row in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Rich does not define himself by CrossFit. He is first a child of God and aims to bring glory to the Lord through his influence in CrossFit. In the interview Rich also talks about being a husband and father. Rich is married to Hillary Froning and they have three precious little kids. Tyler Vitek - Learning To Workout For Longevity

He was helping his brother start up his affiliate at the young age of 19. He got hooked into the sport real early and spent the next few years pursuing the goal, like many others at that time, of making the CrossFit Games. He soon found out that this sport was growing quickly and the pool of competitive athletes was growing. After facing a few injuries and assessing how much time he was spending on working out he decided to focus on working out for longevity over sport. It has been a back and forth effort to maintain this perspective but at 28 years of age he definitely has a better handle on it than he did at 21. His story reminds us to keep working out in a healthy perspective. Enjoy!

Prior to doing CrossFit she ran for exercise and never wanted to do weights because she was afraid of "bulking up". Interestingly enough after doing CrossFit for just a few months she got in the best shape of her life weighing 127 pounds at 12% body fat! She drank the kool-aid quickly and pretty soon after joining the gym competed on a team at the CrossFit Regional competition.
