    Kevin starts the episode by dedicating a segment to Miguel Cabrera and his accomplishment of reaching 3,000 hits. He is one of only 7 players to reach 3,000 hits and 500 HR for his career. He had 11 consecutive seasons of over 177 hits, but only had 1 season of over 200 hits. Miggy just adds to his first ballot hall of fame resume. Kevin then dives into storylines 2 weeks into the season and whether or not they can be sustained for the entire season. Fransisco Lindor is off to a tremendous start for the Mets, the "old" veteran starters have been great so far, and the Guardians offense is absolutely mashing. Shohei Ohtani made history once again during his last start, Miguel Cabrera is one hit away from 3,000, and Hunter Greene throwing a record 39 pitches over 100mph. Kevin then talks about all of the injuries across baseball. The White Sox, Astros, Twins, Nationals, Tigers, Cubs and Reds are all dealing with injuries to multiple players. Look for the additional players on each roster to possibly continue into May. Kevin ends the show by updating the NCAA Top 25. Patrick breaks down this and what else has been happening in the sport. Following the CBA talk, Patrick then breaks down dome potential post-lockout trades that could really shake up the power structure in MLB. Patrick spends the first part of today's show breaking down what needs to be known about the CBA. After that Paddy takes a look at two of the most important people to the MLBPA and Free Agency. First Patrick talks to the first executive director of the MLPA Marvin Miller. Under MIller the MLBPA grew to become one of the most powerful unions in the United States, and he was able to help create Free Agency. Paddy also talks about Jim "Catfish" Hunter, who was the first "big-money free agent", and is the only person to have their number retired by the Athletic's since the 1920s.
