Sinopse

I'm sharing personal experiences, stories, and things that have helped me succeed in my life and get through the struggles I've gone through. My hope is that this podcast gives a voice for those who feel that they have no voice, and helps them to appreciate their lives and look forward with faith.I'll also be doing interviews with friends, professionals, and the like about what they've learned about loving what they do and making a difference in their jobs, families, and communities.

  • Speaking Love When You Compromise Your Foundation - #360

    08/09/2023 Duração: 10min

While editing the podcast interview for today I made a BIG mistake - I let myself take away a piece of my foundation to help me get ahead. My mom brought up how they were going to do family prayer, and she asked if I wanted to join. After I said "no" I realized that I had done something foolish, but still I persisted.Ended up making a mistake in the edit that only added to my aggravation (not to mention the work I'd need to put in to fix it) but I did not let it get out of hand beyond that.Instead I went and playing some basketball and ran those negative emotions out of my system. Now I feel better, and I have learned an important lesson - Do NOT compromise your foundation by trying to take away a piece of it to get ahead, and do NOT miss another family prayer EVER. Haha this was a hard lesson to learn but I am glad I learned it.I also started writing my Flecks of Gold Newsletter Daily so if you're interested in that here's a link: https://flecksofgold.substack.com/All in all I am gla

  • Personal Sacrifices to Unlock Your Next Version - #359

    05/09/2023 Duração: 25min

To get to the next version of your life it is going to take some sacrifices. I learned this when I was becoming a runner on my track team in high school. I had to sacrifice some time with friends and staying up late so I could stay on the path and keep improving. The last month or so I've felt God really pushing me to make some important decisions in my life. A week ago I chose to never make another video game content-related video and last night I decided to finish up writing on my Medium account on Sept. 21.These sacrifices are NOT easy for me to make in the moment. It is easier to keep them going than to let them go. I feel this is important for me to do so my next version can come forward. This is another very me-centric episode but it is what I felt like needed to be shared. I will actually get that interview I was hoping to on Thursday. If you are getting the feeling to let something go or to pick something back up trust God and share with him your feelings. Talk with Him about your goals and ambiti

Yep God just this put this on my heart so I RAN with it! I'll get that interview up next week. I guess it wasn't what I needed to share today, and I'm okay with that. I YIELD to the good and trust. :) I also went a little bit into some of my beliefs along with the church I am apart of, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I never force my religion on anyone but here's a link about a question we all have from time to time if you'd like to che

  • Making Different Moves to Rewrite Your Story - #351

    07/08/2023 Duração: 11min

Last week I had the powerful realization that I am moving out of my apartment at the end of the month! At first I was kind of in a panic mode. Then I decided to take some new actions that were uncomfortable. It is already helping me to get LOTS done instead of just delaying and waiting for the inevitable to happen. Recorded this while on a walk. Was going to do so in the studio but today it just felt more natural and free-flowing to do it on a walk. Support the show

  • The Infinite Power of Vulnerability - #347

    28/07/2023 Duração: 12min

It's so important to be vulnerable with those you care about. When you're struggling and do not open up to those who trust you it often leads to losing their trust. In this episode I broke down some of the lessons from my relationship from a year ago, and how I am applying them to my life and business ventures. Lack of vulnerability led to lack of trust which led to lack of connection and it became a suffocating cycle. In any case though these lessons are quite valuable to me and I look forward to using them in the future!Support the show

Thoughts on prioritizing things in your control, making the most of things, and preparing for what's coming. It comes down to knowing what is the most important thing in the game and what you are trying to do - and then prioritizing that. If you let something that important fall into the wrong hands you are guaranteed to fall behind in terms of performance. As I recently got back into streaming video games on Twitch I've had to move some other things around to compensate.
