    Did you know that your thyroid needs vitamins and minerals to work properly? And that thyroid medication needs to be converted in the body to work optimally, and vitamins and minerals are used in this process? And it's not just the most well known thyroid nutrients iodine, selenium and tyrosine that you need, but also iron, among others. Iron deficiency in particular can worsen thyroid problems, but interestingly thyroid problems can contribute towards an iron deficiency.
