Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 21 The Fox of The Arabs  After the conclusion of The Treaty of Hudaybiah, Surah Victory is revealed and recited to Umar (ra). Verily the evil members of my nation are those who disrespect my companions (Ibn Adee). Whoever insults my companions then may Allah SWT curse them (Ahmad). The Glorious Intercession is not for those who diminished the rank of my companions (Daylamee). O Allah SWT, send Salah upon Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra) for he loves You SWT and loves Your Messenger ﷺ (Siyar). Amr (ra) is away in Bahrain and The Messenger ﷺ misses him (Tabarani).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 20 The Fox of The Arabs  The Victory, most say, refers to The Treaty of Hudaybiah, view Surah 57 v10. Abdur Rehman ibn Auf, Khalid (raa) and their dispute (Tabarani). When the Treaty of Hudaybiyah was concluded, The Messenger ﷺ said, in the near future people will appear whose deeds will make your deeds look mean and trifling... (Abo Nuaym). Do not revile my companions for the state of any of them for a brief period with Me ﷺ is far better than all the deeds any of you does in his lifetime (Ibn Majah). Do not cure the Companions for one of them to stand for an hour is better than the deeds done by one of you over his lifetime (Ibn Abee Aasim). Honour my companions for indeed they are the best of you (Nasaaee). I recommend to you my companions (Tirmidhi). My companions are the trustees for my Ummah (Muslim).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 19 The Fox of The Arabs  When in a state of fear, take refuge with Allah SWT & His Messenger in the masjid, just like Amr and Saalim (raa) (Ahmad). The people submitted whilst Amr (ra) believed (Tirmidhi). Amr (ra) is worth 2 believers (Ahmad). The huge difference between the Early & Late companions, Surah 57 v10. The Victory, some say, refers to The Fall of Makkah.

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 18 The Fox of The Arabs Islam, Hijrah & Hajj wipe out sins (Muslim). The Messenger ﷺ did not treat anyone amongst his companions equal to us who had embraced islam after us (Ibn Asaakir). We enjoyed the same positions with Abu Bakr (ra) (Ibn Hishaam).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 17 The Fox of The Arabs  Khalid, Uthman ibn Talha & Amr (raa). The 3 Companions are described as The Very Essence of Makkah, The Bridle of Makkah & The Liver of Makkah! All 3 Companions arrive in Al Medina in Safar, 8 years After Hijra.

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 16 The Fox of The Arabs  Amr (ra) cast aside his blood stained garments of unbelief to don the pure garments of belief and left Abyssiania for Al Medina. After the Treaty of Hudaybiah, Khalid (ra) is in a dilema as there's nowhere to live. The Messenger ﷺ enquires about Khalid (ra) and Khalid (ra) becomes inclined to Islam. Abu bakr interprets Khalid's (ra) dream, where he leaves a constricted land of draught (unbelief) and finds a vast fertile land (Islam). The Crossing of 2 Distinct Seerah's... Khalid & Uthman ibn Talha (raa) agree to leave Makkah to head for Al Medina, on the way at a place called Al-Hadda they meet Amr (ra).  All 3 intend The Messenger ﷺ in Al Medina. 'Once we reached Medina, the Adhan for Asr was called, we entered The Masjid and His Face ﷺ was beaming like the full moon and the companions were very much pleased with our acceptance of the faith.' (Bahaqi).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 15 The Fox of The Arabs  Amr (ra) takes heed from An-Najasshee (rah) and embraces the faith at the age of 62.

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 14 The Fox of The Arabs  The Chief hypocrite returns to Al Medina with a third of the army before the encounter at Uhud. Abu Sufiyaan (ra) leaves the Battle of Uhud and intends to march towards Al Medina to exterminate the rest of the Sahaba, however he is stopped by Safwaan ibn Umayyah ibn Khalaf (ra). 'Had they marched to Al Medina they would have perished with a shower of stones' (Ibn Ishaq). Amr (ra) later on says…. I was present at Uhud and escaped… (Baihaqi). Bediuz’Zamaan Sa’eed Nursee (rah), The Companins of the future defeated the Companions of the present (Lemalar- Istanbul). The Battle of The Trench On arrival The Quraysh find a ditch which cannot be breached. After a month or so of intrigue and attempts a violent wind was sent by Allah SWT which caused havoc. Amr (ra) visits his friend Musaylimah, Amr (ra) recites Surah Asr and Musaylimah recites his own revelation, Ya Wabbir! The Messenger ﷺ explains the meaning of Surah Asr to The Chief Reciter, Obay ibn Ka

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 13 The Fox of The Arabs  Hisham (ra) returns to Makka after hearing false rumours that the Quraysh embraced the faith, instead he is kept under house arrest for 9 years until The Battle of The Trench. After The Blessed Hijra Amr & Khalid (raa) fathers depart the world in a state of unbelief, (Ibn Kathir). The first main encounter was at Badr where the polytheists lost. A year later the fateful Battle of Uhud took place, the belivers took safety on Mt Uhud.

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 12 The Fox of The Arabs  Jaffar (ra) addresses Amr (ra) & An-Najaashee, saying, that we are not runaways nor criminals, but we left the creed of Shaytaan.. (Abo Na'aym). The next day Amr (ra) fails to woo the muslims back to Makkah in the court of An-Najaashe (Ahmad). The gifts were returned to the 2 men of the Quraysh, Amr (ra) being one of them. An-Najasshe appeals to Jaffar (ra) 'Recite for us more of the Glorious words...' (Abu Nu'aym).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 11 The Fox of The Arabs  Migration to Abyssinia 'The land of Abyssinia has a king who does not oppress anyone in his kingdom... '(Ibn Ishaq). During the 5th Year of Prophethood, 12 men & 4 women made the first Hijra to Abyssinia. The second Hijra to Abyysinia took place a year later, where 102 Sahaba migrated 19 of whom were women. The emergency council of the Quraysh led them to send Amr (ra) & Abdullah ibnAbee Rabee to return the 'renegades.' Jaffar (ra) addresses An-Najaashee (rah), quoting the opening verses of Surah Mariam. An-Najaashee (rah) grants the Sahaba safety.

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 10 The Fox of The Arabs  Uqba places the entrails of a she-camel upon The Messenger ﷺ who is in sujood near the Kaba... The Messenger ﷺ after completing the prayer invokes 'O Allah SWT deal with the Quraysh '(Bukhari). Abul Bakhtaree hears about this and takes matters in his own hands and gives Abo Jahl a blow to the head (Tabarani). All 7 Quraysh chiefs were killed during The Battle of Badr (Ahmad).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 9 The Fox of The Arabs  Amr (ra) relates, I had never seen the Quraysh attempt to assassinate The Messenger ﷺ except on one occasion.. Uqbah attacks The Messenger ﷺ who is in Salah, there was an uproar and people thought The Messenger ﷺ had been killed. Once they beat up The Messenger ﷺ till he went blank, Abu bakr (ra) arrives and quotes Surah 40 v28 (Haakim). Thereafter The Messenger ﷺ gains consciousness and continues his Saalah!

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 8 The Fox of The Arabs  The Sobriquet, Abu Abdullah & Abu Muhammed (ra). Amr ibn Al Aas (ra) states, I remember the night Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra) was born (Al Isaabah). Amr passed away 20 years (43 AH) after Umar (raa 23AH) at the age of 99 (Al Isaabah). Amr (ra) was  3 years older than The Messenger ﷺ 5 years older than Abu Bakr (ra) 16 years older than Umar (ra) 9 years older than Uthmaan (ra) 33 years older than Alee (ra). Amr (ra) states, I memorised one thousand similtudes from The Messenger ﷺ (Ahmad). The judges were 4 in number, Abu Bakr, Umar, Ibn Masood & Abu Musa Al Ashari (raa) The shrewd were 4 in number, Moawiah, Amr ibn Al Aas, Mugheerah & Ziyaad (raa). Another report adds Alee & Qays (raa) (Ibn Kathir). Amr's (ra) lifetime during the Makkan Phase. 'I was initially stubbornly opposed to Islam. I was present at Badr and escaped, present at Uhud and escaped, finally I was present at Khandaq and escaped' (Baihaqi). Amr (ra) witnessed the worst treatmment The Me

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 7 The Fox of The Arabs  What deeds can be passed on  to the deceased Muslims ? The Hanafee verdict, virtuous deeds can be passed on including Salah, Fasting, Quran recitation, Zhikir, Sadaqa, Hajj, Umrah... The Messenger ﷺ sacrificed two rams, one for himself and the other for his Ummah (Bukhari). Alee (ra) 'A person passes by a graveyard, recites Surah Ikhlas 11 times and passes this onto the deceased, thus the deceased receive the rewards (Daraqutni). JIbreel (as) presents these deeds to the deceased on a refulgent tray saying... 'Dweller of the grave, Your relatives have sent a gift, accept it with joy.' The receiver becomes happy but the forgotten deceased are grieved on their deprivation (Tabarani). The deceased in the graves are like the drowning one, eagerly awaiting for priceless supplications... (Baihaqi). 'The muslims enter their graves with sin, yet they come forth without such sin, they are forgiven because the Believers supplicated for their forgiveness' (Taba

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 6 The Fox of The Arabs  The Month of Rajab- Reminders The Isra of The Messenger ﷺ took place on the 27th of Rajab (Ibn Rajab Lataa'If). 'We are enough for you against those who ridicule you' Surah 15 v95 The Messenger ﷺ points out to Jibreel (as) the chiefs who cause immense grief to Islam, Jibreel (as) merely points at them.. later these chiefs met a miserable end (Tabarani). These same wretches requested the Splitting of The Moon (Abu Nu'aym).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 5 The Fox of The Arabs  Al Aas asks, will Allah SWT bring this bone back to life after it has disintegrated? Surah Yaseen v77-83 is revealed. (Haakim) The Blacksmith Khabab (ra), The debt owed by Al Aas and Surah Mariam v77-80. Khabab (ra) states, during slavery I was so poor there was a time I did not even have a decent rag to put on me and see The Messenger ﷺ (Abo Nuaym).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 4 The Fox of The Arabs  Al Aas ibn Waa'il - A deadly enemy to Islam This man would taunt the Message of Islam and would say 'This man (The Messeneger ﷺ) is cut off... Surah Kauthor is revealed (Tabarani). Although, this man had 2 sons who embraced the faith, this in reality cut them off from their father as they could no longer benefit him by virtuous deeds. 5 chiefs sarcastically address The Messenger ﷺ, Surah 6 v8-9 is revelaed. 5 chiefs attempt to negotiate the terms of worship with The Messenger ﷺ , Surah Kafiroon is revealed. Recite Surah Kafiroon then sleep, one is then immune from Shirk (Nassaee). Nothing in the Quran infuriates Iblees more than Surah Kafiroon as its freedom from Shirk (Qourtobi).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 3 The Fox of The Arabs  Umm Kulthoom bint Uqbah (raa) was from those women who migrated, she embraced Islam in Makkah and gave her pledge of allegiance, since she was being watched it took 7 years to migrate. Her 2 brothers pursued her and wanted her back in Makka. Allah SWT defends Umm Kulthoom bint Uqbah (raa), Surah 60 v10-11 is revealed. Umm Kulthoom was the only female to migrate whilst leaving her parents in Makkah (Ibn Sa'ad). The Mother of Umm Kulthoom, Arwa bint Kurayz (raa). Arwa (raa) migrates, she remained in Al Medina until she passed away during the reign of Uthmaan (ra) (Ibn Sa'ad), buried in Al Baqee. Arwa (raa) is the twin of Abdullah ibn Abdul Mutallib (ra). Umm Kulthoom (ra) married Zayd ibn Harith, after he departed the world she married Abdur Rahman ibn Auf (ra). Later Umm Kulthoom (ra) married Amr ibn Al Aas (ra) and she departed the world during the reign of Alee (ra). 'Marry Abdur Rehamn ibn Auf (ra) for he is The Chief of The Muslims....' (Hakim).

Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 2 The Fox of The Arabs  Abu Bakr (ra) sent Hisham (ra) and another to Heraclius the Emperor, they were hosted for 3 days. Both Sahaba were shown the images of the Prophets Adam (as), Nuh (as), Ibraheem (as) then an image of The Last Messenger ﷺ. These images were given to Prophet Adam (as), then Dhul Qarnayn (ra) took them and gave them to Danyaal (as). Talha (ra) relates.. Verily Amr Ibn Al Aas (ra) is one of the pious of the Quraysh (Tirmidhi).
