  • Ep. 82 - Fixing Pain, Fighting Injuries & The Importance Of Movement w/ Dan Baines

    19/06/2019 Duração: 59min

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by osteopath, anatomy teacher and overall movement geek, Dan Baines. Dan’s one of the most knowledgeable and interesting therapists I’ve come across over the years, and he’s helped myself and many of our clients overcome roadblock issues over the years. What I’ve always liked about Dan is that he knows what heavy lifting is all about, and has been through the years of powerlifting where he’s squatted over 500lbs and deadlifted over 600lbs, something which not many in the therapy & physio world can relate to! I first came to know about Dan through a recommendation in 2015 when I was struggling with SI joint pain, and couldn’t get to the root cause of it all. Through many of his different techniques including P-DTR, NKT, reflexology, anatomy in motion, and his unique method of blending them all together, he was able to get me pain free almost immediately. Ever since, he’s been one of my top go-to guys in London. In today’s epis

In this episode, we dive deep into his why, and how it continues to drive him even through the different phases. We also talk about the infamous incident that happened during his photoshoot prep that caused me to write the article – Social Stigmas in Asian Culture’. Sachin’s story is very relatable. As a father of two young girls who works long hours in the City, he gives the very best tips you need to know to learn how to balance your fitness goals with all the other areas in your life. Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by one of the smartest guys in the world of bodybuilding and body composition, Dr Scott Stevenson. Scott’s been training for over 30 years, and has a level of experience few can match in this industry when it comes to optimising and maximising your muscle building and fat loss efforts. He’s a big believer in keeping an open ‘beginner’s minded’ approach to finding what works, while blending his experience, Western science and Eastern medicine all together.  We talk about the role of genetics, inter-individual differences between people, the skinny fat solution and why the consolidation phase should be seen as only the start of your journey. What I enjoyed most about today’s chat with Scott was going deep on human psychology, the importance of creating tribes, and exploring altered states of consciousness in life. It was a real pleasure to speak to Scott here, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.   ‘People who train the harde

    16/05/2019 Duração: 01h01min

Back in March I was in the Amalfi Coast with Nathan, and during a really cool hike in the forest, we were having an interesting discussion about body image, our relationship with food, and creating rules in your life to live a healthy and lean lifestyle. So we decided to stop and record our first outdoor podcast, so apologies in advance for any background noise. We go deep in these topics, and there are a lot of personal anecdotes here that many of you will be able to relate to, so please reach out and share your own stories, we’d love to hear them  “You need the transformation first to elicit the lifestyle solution after”  – Team RNT   Timestamps: 1:44 – Transformation coaching vs Lifestyle coaching 3:22 – Body image 5:46 – Akash’s bodybuilding prep 11:16 – 7 faces of a transformation coach 13:01 – Eating disorders 20:53 – Akash and Nathan’s relationship with food 23:16 – The Vaghela curry 33:52 – The consolidation period 35:46 – Forming your own rules 43:21 – Buffering and binging 51:36 – Approaching cow

  • Ep. 76 - Hall of Fame | Diksesh Patel – How Diksesh Dropped 50kg At 50 Years Old To Change His Life

    13/05/2019 Duração: 01h20min

This may be one of the most awaited episodes we’ve ever released. It’s very rare that I’m caught speechless during a podcast, and today’s incredible episode with the legend that is Diksesh Patel, he left me with no words not once, but on two separate occasions. Diksesh has been on one incredible journey where’s he’s dropped 50kg at the age of 50, and completely transformed his body and life. Borderline diabetes, gone. Gout, gone. Cholesterol, gone.  His health markers are normalised, he’s packed on copious amounts of muscles, and he’s pushed himself harder both physically and mentally more than many are capable of doing. What I really admire about Diksesh is that there’s no excuses with this guy.  He runs multiple businesses, is an extremely active father to two boys, and has a very busy social life. But Diksesh knew his why, and in this extremely personal account, he goes deep into his childhood struggles, and candidly shares the emotional journey that comes with transforming your body against all od

  • Ep. 75 - Hall of Fame | Dhilon Solanki – Building A Real Lifestyle Solution

    08/05/2019 Duração: 01h02min

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by one of the members of our RNT Family, Dhilon Solanki. When it comes to transforming your body, it’s often thought that there’s only one way, one timeframe and one path. But what Dhilon’s transformation really highlights is how it’s exactly the opposite.  You can only run your own race, and everyone’s journey will be different. In Dhilon’s case, his best results actually came on what’s come to known as his second wave.  In 2017 he first came to us with a goal of getting a six pack by Christmas, but after failing to address his ‘why’, he didn’t experience much change and struggled to find his groove. A few months later, Dhilon came back with a vengeance, and this time embraced the lifestyle and knew what he wanted to achieve here.  He regained control of his day, channelled all his energy into this challenge, and completely transformed both his body and life. Physically, he finally got the six pack he wanted, but mentally everyt

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by another member of the RNT Family, Adam Goff. Adam’s an extremely successful entrepreneur in the world of property, and today we discuss why being on your A game physically is so critically important to being on your A game in business. One area that Adam’s passionate and very knowledgeable about is his concept of life by design. Back in in December I met up with Adam and we spoke for hours on this subject, and ever since, it’s completely changed how I operate on a day to day basis, and how I plan for the future. • Ep. 72 - Hall of Fame | Pretesh Patel - How Pretesh Dropped 30kg & 10 Inches Off His Waist To Completely Transform His Body & Life

    16/04/2019 Duração: 01h03min

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by one the members of the RNT family, Pretesh. It all started for Tesh when he was having sporadic bouts of heart rate spikes and high blood pressure that were triggering severe pulsing headaches. Luckily, instead of going with prescribed blood pressure tablets, Tesh decided to take matters in his own hands and reclaim his health through improvements in his body composition. He started his journey by dropping his first 10kg in 6 months, and then upon joining RNT, has proceeded to drop another 20kg in 20 weeks. At the same time, he’s also dropped more than 10 inches off his waist, and his doctors and a DEXA scan confirmed he’d obliterated his visceral body fat to practically zero levels! This isn’t just life changing, but life extending. In today’s podcast, we dive deep into the psychological hurdles of a transformation, social stigmas that make it tougher, and how the physical is a real vehicle to enabling transformation in all areas

  • Ep. 71 - Quarterly Insights In The Amalfi Coast

    10/04/2019 Duração: 01h28min

This one’s deeply personal, and I’ve been wrestling with the idea of releasing it ever since we recorded it. In the end I decided to go for it, and I hope that the lessons and experiences shared on it will help at least one person listening. We’re all human, and we all have our weaknesses. Luckily, my greatest weakness is my biggest passion. I love what I do, and I love what we’re creating at RNT. The problem is, this love means I work at an intensity that’s relentless, and I regularly flirt with burnout and exhaustion. I’ve always thought I was indestructible, and that I could always ride the fine line between high performance and burnout. But then in February this year, I had my wake up call. The long awaited wake up call. I’ll explain what happened in the podcast today, but what’s it taught me is that if I want help as many people experience the life changing benefits of what focusing on the physical with RNT can do, I have to help and take care of myself first. I’ve been running at 150mph for a long long

  • Ep. 70 - Dropping Over 60kg, Overcoming Limiting Beliefs & Living Life On Your Own Terms w/ Indi Rajpal

    03/04/2019 Duração: 01h14min

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio. Today I’m joined by one of our RNT coaches Indi Rajpal, who’s been on an incredible journey over the years, and overcome many struggles to get to where he is now. His reason for getting into the industry is extremely strong, which I’ll let him explain in today’s episode. What strikes me about Indi is he’ll never give up, and will fight to the end. At 21 he was hit by a bus that left him with a brain haemorrhage and being told he had 2 days to live. Five years later he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma which led to a year of chemotherapy, and going up to between 120 to 130kg bodyweight. After having lost the equivalent of another human, Indi’s on a mission now to help as many of people overcome their own struggles and limiting beliefs to live a life of fulfilment on your own terms. A truly incredible episode, and I can’t wait for you to hear Indi’s story. “The meaning for something is given when you give it the meaning, everything is neutral in life’’

  • Ep. 69 - Stages Of Change On A Transformation Journey, Programme Hopping & Body Dysmorphia

    27/03/2019 Duração: 01h01min

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined here live with Mr Kmak to talk about the different stages of change you will go through during your transformation. It’s a little different to the phases we talk about in the RNT journey, and instead, this discussion is based on the transtheoretical model, which is a psychological theory from the 80s that’s been used in many fields to help the process of altering problematic behaviour patterns such as smoking, eating junk or a sedentary lifestyle. Through this, we also discuss our own personal experiences of letting go of perceptions, comparisons and other limiting beliefs that have been guilty of taking us down spirals of paralysis by analysis and spinning our wheels. So, without further ado, let’s dive in Do you want to be entertained, or do you want to see results? – Team RNT    Timestamps: 1:03- New beard sponsorship 5:23 – Pre-contemplation stage 7:24 – Contemplation stage 10:13 – Preparation stage 15:04 – Action stage 18:15 –

  • EP 66: Achieving Equilibrium In Relationships, Understanding Attachment Theories And The Reality Behind Muscle Building w/ Paul Carter

    06/03/2019 Duração: 01h48min

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, where this week we’re joined by Paul Carter, who’s the first guest to come back on after first appearing over a year ago on episode 18. After an email exchange over Christmas about how much life has changed for Paul since our last chat, we thought it’d be cool to record another episode for you guys. We start by talking about the slow process of natural muscle gain and why building a foundation is so critical if you want to be lean year round later, and still hold decent size. The meat of the podcast then delves into the different valleys of life we go through, the importance of understanding and developing yourself to achieve emotional equilibrium in relationships. 27/02/2019 Duração: 01h02min

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio. Today I’m joined by one of our RNT clients, Nimalan, who’s been working with us for the past year and gone through what I like to call the ideal physique journey so far. After a dieting phase where he, in his own words, made more progress in 16 weeks than in 10 years, he’s shifted gears to a lengthy muscle building where it’s now all about PRs on the bar, and PRs on the plate. Having never been lean in the past, we talk about struggles of embracing the fluff, and why for the right person, it can be such an important phase to go through to end up with the physique you’re really after. Through all of this, he travels almost every single week for work all over the country, and he spends time talking about the critical mindset to adopt if you want to make progress in your health and fitness when living out of a suitcase. Nimalan’s getting married this month, and his soon to be wife Sonayna is also on her own RNT journey, and we talk about strength training and

  • Ep. 63 - How To Stay In Shape While You’re Dating (and Married)

    13/02/2019 Duração: 57min

On today’s Valentine’s day special of #RNTFitnessRadio, I’m joined by the whole team at RNT. This episode came from popular demand in the RNT family group after a long thread about juggling dating with getting into the shape of your life, so we thought we’d come together and discuss this for the single guys & girls out there! Ben also takes the mic and talks about how things might be a little different when you’re married. That said, one thing we’ve always enjoyed as coaches is training couples, and seeing them transform together. The level of accountability and support it creates can be a real game changer, and it’s not unusual to see couples achieve incredible transformations when training together. We then talk about where all are in our own goals, while getting an insight into Indi’s journey over the years battling through a number of different struggles, and still coming out standing on top. A truly inspiring coach, and I can’t wait to share his own candid interview very soon.   “If you’re part o
